Best Regards.

Definitely sport! My friend runs the race exhaust and its way too loud. I run the sport and the car sounds like wonderful 60's muscle car without every getting annoying.

I have the race on my CLK500 and it is pretty damn loud. I mean, not like ricer honda civic loud, but it does get very loud. With a CLS55 AMG that sounds pretty good from the factory, the noise must be REAL loud (as well as ridiculously cool). If you just tap the gas you will get a loud deep drone, so that will probably annoy you after a week or so. If you like attention and noise never bothers you, get the race. Good luck with your choice.

If I remember right, Vic55 also had some other exhaust specific mods done right?
Otherwise RACE wouldn't be that loud would it?

Persoanlly, go Race or stick with stock. The sport is like not even much different from stock to justify the cost to me.

Do you know if the sport is louder than the brabus/remus?

(I have headers + Hi-Flow Metalic Kat).

Best Regards.

The sport may be just a bit louder then Brabus, but to me not much.

Also, i am not even sure why anyone is talking about the CLS55 exhaust. According to Eisenhaus it is not even out yet.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Eisenmann Race. I wouldn't want my car without it, it makes it sound like a total beast. I get compliments all the time and everybody looks in amazement, from young girls to cross guards. My parents think it is cheap though and don't like it at all. My dad has an SL55 and he thinks my car has a good sound (because my car and his have that similiar V8 muscle-car sound), but he hates the humming deep noise it makes at lower RPM's.

I also noticed that there is a difference with the noise at different seasons. In the winter when its cold, it is much more throaty and loud. In the summer, it is smoother.

Just wondering, has anybody ever done or heard of a "butterfly valve" mod? The stock Corvette Z06 has one that opens at higher RPM's so the sound isn't too loud when cruising. If I could get one for a cheap price that won't change the look of my car, then I think I'd go for it.

Stay with the stock AMG exhaust. There is no reason to change it, you will gain nothing. Spend your money elsewhere.

Yes I have the Eisenmann Race version on my E55- I also have the post cats and the resonators out. It is loud not probably suitable for everyone but I love it. The E55 cabin is pretty good in regards to sound deadening and I have a good radio system too. Its really up to personal preference but here is a link to videos of the car doing some quick runs:

I would go with the race version, I installed so many eisenmann exhaust on amg cars and i agree with BlackC230Coupe if you don't get the race might as well stick to stock.

The sport has little / no sound diffrence compared to stock exhaust. Sound clip creates an amplified sound and sometimes i have to tell the customer based on past experience.

Of course diffrent cars / engine will have diffrent sound, but i'd installed eisenmann on most mercedes model and with the 2 extra resonator after the catalytic converter, the sports will not be producing sound anymore louder than stock.

I tried once and end up removing one of the resonator.

Unfortunately, eisenmann don't have an ETA for the exhaust yet, but hopefully they bring them in soon.

Hope this help.
