Unhappy Key fob help

OK so I had a little temper tantrum and threw the key fob. It came apart and 2 batteries plus a battery holder came out.

Put them back in and now it won't work. The keyless go is now keyless "no".

How do I get in the car? The spare key is in the trunk where the dealer left it. as is the owners' manual.

When you are finished laughing can anyone advise me?

Call teleaid. When they are done laughing they should be able to open it for you.

cant you use the metal key to open the drivers door and the trunk for that matter? thats why its there. i am a little concerned however if you are expecting to pull a spare out of your trunk when you have keyless go. the trunk has a sensor and if it knows there is a key in the trunk, it will not allow it to stay closed... are you sure there is a key in the trunk?

Well I'm a fool.

The Key was in the trunk where the dealer had left it. The rear hatch would close though. I just wonder how many times I left the car thinking it was locked and it actually was accessable to the general public.

Thanks for the help!

This is how smart your car is.

With a key in the trunk.. it doesn't matter as long as you have one on you.

If you tried to lock the car with both keys in the car it will not lock.
If you have one of the keys on you, outside the car, it will lock reguardless where the other key is.

Did that make sense??? Even with a key in the trunk, your car was locking when you locked it when you have a key in your pocket.

Wow - that is impressive. However, w/ one key now GONE, the car would no way be able to tell, correct? So he will still have to call TeleAid?

Correct. The car doesn't care which key you are using as long as one of them is outside the car when you lock it, or try to open it.
