I have it on mine and it's great, the only thing is that it's long and disturbing to make the selectionof the songs

Just out of curiosity...how does it work? Do the song names appear on the speedo?
Do you have to use the phone buttons on the steering wheel to navigate through the ipod?

yea, according to mb. you can control the playlist via the steering buttons. not exactly sure which ones though. song title also displays on nav and instrument cluster.

if you go to the mb site there is a demo. I have been thinking of getting it but you have to go song by song the menu isn't the same I would love to see it installed on another car before I get it.

I still think it's worth it though

i spent $4.05 at radio shack and bought a wire for the aux in the glovebox. i plugged it in and tucked it under the carpet from the dash to the side of the passenger seat. ipod in the cupholder and plugged in..... almost as good as lowering via washers.

Also use the plug in the glove box. My wife plays DJ, and were off and running. Sound is excellent.

That's what I did before istallalling the Ipod and the sound was bad.
The sound is much loower than the radion or TV. You almost need to turn the volume at the top.

If I were you I would first buy the Aux wire it's about 2$ and if you don't like it then you install the mercedes one

Moreover you always had to take you ipod in hands to choose the songs

i'll take a pic or two this weekend.... i didn't expect it to sound as good as it does, but actually, when you turn up the volume on the ipod it seems to 'boost the bass' a little bit and it sounds BETTER than normal. i can't see not spending the $4 to try it for yourself if you even remotely question it in your mind. ipod kit is useless in this car imo.

The sound is great, but you can really tell the quality of the song when it's played in the mercedes. Music that was bought through iTunes sounds much better.

Have seen one last Saturday.
It is a CLS350 with factory i-Pod kits installed.
Pretty much work done along the trunk/amp to the comand unit, said, 4 hours took.

Select AUX and play/display as you do on the CD mode.
There're tons of songs of course.
The sound quality is as good as CD, you can't tell the source.

does the iPod integration kit tell song info on BOTH the MFD and the actual nav display, or ONLY the MFD...
