Before and After Carlsson Lowering Module
Lowering module from Carlsson...Work performed by Kronen...I did not want the slammed look, so I opted for the second to last setting (setting 5). I believe zoomcls' white 55 also just had the same module installed but don't know which setting they chose. Hey zoom, post some pics would you...it's harder to see the black...

Hello Sir!! Welcome back.

Hey Adam, I just had my front end wrapped (in 3M plastic), do you think the lower spoiler can be painted, wrapped, and then installed? Will it affect my air dam in any way? I shouldn't think so, the lower lip spoiler is an add-on and will mount from the bottom. Let me know...

Yes, the Carlsson front lip can be painted and then wrapped with 3M plastic. Also, yes the front lip is mounted from the bottom. Therefore your air dam will not be affected in any way.

Nice drop avc, it looks like the perfect setting. Probably do the same setting. We won't be picking up the car until this weekend, we'll post pics as soon as we get it, unless adam wants to take pics of the drop and post it

The 3M is pretty good looking...I have yet to have it detailed. Just got it washed and it looks pretty good. You can tell there's plastic on the car, but it beats those stupid bras they used to put on cars, eh?
See you all this weekend...

Simply put, the Carlsson module is a "piggy-back" design. It does not replace the factory module but enhances it. Therefore, the Carlsson module brings its own settings to the table, i.e. lowered ride heights and recalibrated dampening/rebound (although I have yet to feel that the car is much tighter). When installed, the tech can opt for as many as 6 different settings for the module, with 6 being the lowest. I chose 5 because I do not like the "slammed" look. Be aware that I used the word "look" because Carlsson is renowned for performance enhancements and not just looks. Therefore, even if you did choose to go all the way down to 6, the car would still be very functional, indeed, probably much firmer.
Remember, as a safety feature, the car automatically raises itself at least 0.25 in upon you starting it. This is a feature that allows you to safely maneuver the car at slow speeds (speed bumps, driveways, etc.). At 70+ mph, the car will again lower itself. This is also a safety feature (believe it or not) because of high-speed stability issues.
I'm going to have the car shipped to Vegas very soon for a proper shakedown. I have track time out at the speedway and a track is where one can really test the car, not the streets.
I'll share what I can find.

Hey Adam, someone on another thread is talking about a new lowering module from Renntech...what's the 411 on that? How's that different from the Carlsson? Let me know, I might switch if it gives me better handling...
Which club are you going to? I saw one of the guys at Ruby Sky last Sat. night...

I do not know for sure about the quality of the ride yet using the Renntech lowering module. All i know it is digital and adjustable front/rear and works with all chassis up to 07.

The difference between lowering module riding

More you lower, bumpier it gets. The differences between the modules are small, one must consider the price, etc. The RennTech module is using 4 microprocessors, is fully digital (all signals covert Analog/Digital, processor modifies them, then converts Digital/Analog again, separately for each individual sensor. The signal modification is purely digital and not temperature-dependent as analog modules are. The individual height is modified by means of three 8-position rotary switches.
One modules does it all: dial the function switch to position 0=stock (unit off); 1=AirMatic; 2=ABC.
Check out the module user manuals:
