AMG Tuning & upgrades

Honestlyy guys,,, why do you through all the trouble of tunning your engines, lower your suspension, changing wheels etc etc...? All your cars look and perform amazing, built at the AMG factory, tested and tuned to meet the highest specifications in the market. Changing stuff voids the car warranty and causes many other problems...
So any feedback?

It's not tested and tuned to meet the highest spec. They are tested and tuned to meet their marketed claims.

I ask myself the same question... then end up adding a front spoiler and probably some wheels shortly. i think we do it, just to personalize our cars. one thing i dont get is the engine mods... i rarely can use the full potential of the engine where i live. maybe some short burst here and there, but it aint no autobahn, thats for sure.

The stock cls55 looks awesome stock, but i just cant hold out on the mods

I think because AMG owners would like to personalize their cars; hence the mods.

i think the AMG 19 inch factory wheels looks realll good on the car as is. Nice clean look. Next modification is the Renntech lowering module.

there's actually some Mercedes Benz dealerships that install Renntech, let alone voiding warranty.

i didnt mean specifically renntech, but their are many other tuners that would love to get your money and modify your car. ie. changing headers, suspension lowering kits etc etc...

yep... that's why i havent pulled the trigger on the new wheels yet. the stock ones flow with the body style very well. very classy and sleek... although i want to the deep dish look. so far, i havent found one that flow with the body styling.

Which remains to be seen if they actually accomplish that

i think another reason besides all the above mentioned is to stand out from the crowd. where i live (SoCal) MBs are a dime a dozen! they are literally everywhere. so there's no "ooohing and awwing" when one drives by. but when you modify and customize it to your liking... trust me, they stare and you will stand out from the rest. maybe it's a ego thing but it just looks so much better dropped with some new shoes.
