What would you pay...

Okay, so I'm having my car fixed, and luckily, no body panels have to be replaced. The fender was on slighty bent, some people couldn't tell, so they rolled it back out, good as new. This is good because I get to keep the VIN and no paint blending down the car. Front bumper doesn't need to be replaced because it wasn't punctured, just a respray. The wheel turned out to be fine also. Just needed to replaced headlamp washer. So my question to you all is, what would you pay for a car like mine?

$99,965 sticker, 1400 miles, carfax says wrecked. Can't tell a thing happened and still has original parts. I'm probably going to end up trading it in on the new car, but just wanted to get a feel for what you all would pay.

70k, if that, being that its "wrecked" on the report it'd be a tough sale least to me, the dealer on the other hand may offer you high 70s...but what do i know

I figured around 80K would be the amount, that's a $20,000 loss. $70,000 is a little extreme considering nothing was replaced and still have the VIN on the panels. We'll see.

That is a great car, and why take a huge hit when you do not have to?

20k , plus I would imagine you paid tax , lic etc. You get hit as soon as it is titled , now you want to get rid of a car that says it has been in a smash up? Seems like you are gonna lose unless you keep it and enjoy it. Hell whats insurance for. They fixed it, you know its fine. Why sell?

I'm trading in and the lady who hit me, her insurance is paying me for the loss between what I paid and what I get for trade in. I do not want a wrecked car, personal preference. Would have been different if the wreck was my fault. I should not have to take the $20-30,000 loss because of someone elses negligence. I just have a different view.

Guys, he is still young. I am 30 with 3 kids, a wife, and 2 parents living with me. Time will change him, and make him wiser haha.

I just kidding Matthew. Hope you dont lose money on it man. But you will become wiser as you age and take on more financial responsibility.

No worries, if you have them buying it that makes it more understandable for sure.

the give away is that the other insurer is covering the loss. You never know what can come up a year later after "everything was fixed" regardless how old i am and how much money I have if I paid 100k to drive a brand new car then I want a brand new car now with that said if it was my fault and I am about to take a 20,000 hit then I will continue to drive my brand new car that was crashed but fixed and looks goos as new!!!
