Bluetooth Phone install

I want to install the Bluetooth phone system in my CLS but do not have a phone cradle in the center glove box. I was told by my dealer that there are 3 parts to the phone system. One is the Bluetooth unit, and 2 other boxes make up the complete system. Pricing in like 2300.00 installed. This is a crazy price for the fact that the bluetooth portion is 350.00. What have you guys been doing to get your phone up and running. Is there anything becides the " Parrot " system to put in the car?

Thanks
Tom

if you have the phone system installed at factory then the MHI cradle is all you need. I had gone to the dealer when my car was still on order and one of the sales guy told me to add the feature that it was twice as much if I waited for the car to come in. GLAD I DID.

I have the old V30 that is hard wired in the middle console cradle. Can I convert to the bluetooth system that is in the GL (the puck), and what would the cost be?

Steve is the MOD MASTER... he visits the US from time to time installing OEM goodies onto our cars... He also sells OEM parts for a fraction of the price. If you do a search, you will find an email. Email him and he will get back to you. He will also tell you if you are able to do it or not. MBenzNL is his screen name i think and BigSis is his sister who also helps steve with all his work....

Why do u need a cradle if you have bluetooth?

Can't the phone just be in your pocket?

You need to have the cradle so that you can plug the B/T module into the cradle. At that point, you B/T phone will sync with the B/t module that is plugged into the cradle... See how it works?
