CLS63 Dyno Results
So I finally got this sick puppy on the dyno today. Not that I really want to mod it or anything but I was curious to see if at 3000 miles I'll get different results than now (900 miles). So I'll be posting another one at 3K.
The end result is that there was 414.1 RWHP on my best run. Here's the setup:
1) Dyno mode
2) Manual shift up to 4th gear
3) Temp around 72
I have a great video uploaded to YouTube of the car being dyno'd (will be available in a few minutes). The sound is SICK!!! at that high an RPM. The chart is attached. I was hoping for 425 but it looks like 414 is as good as it gets. I can tell you this for sure, this car could really benefit from a better source of air. Anyone listening? Vadim?

I did the dyno over at Euro Sport in Anaheim http://www.eurosportacc.com/ . The Tech's name that helped me out was Vic. Nice guy. Tell him that I referred you. $80 for three runs seemed like a good deal to me, considering it took a while to setup. In fact he did like 5 runs cause it was hard to figure out the best way to do it. The car kept shifting before peak even in sports mode so manual was the only way to go. Looks like 4th gear is king.
I gotta admit though, it's kinda nerve-wrecking watching your $100K toy held back by a couple of belts that if snapped will send it rocketting into a wall. Glad it's over.

Nice. I just was searching around the internet for a baseline CLS55 dyno and found a company DYNOCOMP that had a CLS63 baseline and with their ECU moded. (Well I'm not pushing this company and know nothing about it) However, I wanted to state that their dyno was very similar to yours and showed that weird change in power at 5200 rpms (I guess from the timing curve or cam change). Very cool nonetheless.

that CLS is a sweet looking car..it was my first choice but had more head room in the E63...love the lines on the CLS though.
