FS: Command from 2006 cls55

I'm about to put my 2006 CLS55 Command on Ebay (US Model). PM me if anyone is interested. It is in great working condition, just swaped out for Euro.

I had this in tech folder, but just wanted to make sure no one missed it.

I haven't had a chance to drive it since last Friday, too salty to drive my car around (it's sitting in the garage waxed and ready for the sunny days).

Does sound awesome listening to music videos etc. With Movies you have full control, aspect, color, menu controls, etc. I love the British chic talking, although it's odd for British nav in a German car. Other than that, it's exactly the same. I like it. One note, you can input cities using zip code, which makes it quicker when putting in cities. I think there are a lot more little things like that which makes it nicer. Easy to put in.

I assume you lost the sirius sat feature. Given that the steering wheel controls still work, what do you see in the instrument cluster when you switch to the sat screen? Currently mine shows the sat station name. I have ordered a euro command but haven't decided if I want movies more than sirius.

Do you still get a range of addresses or can you input exact address?
Also please elaborate on the TV and video features. Is there another AUX video jack that you can possibly hook up a backup cam to?

As for the SAT, I could do without it but it is kinda cool to have for RAW DAWG and a CNBC. Otherwise it pretty much sucks.

1) still get the range on nav entry
2) on Audio it has something call RDS and TA on/off dont know what that is
3) Video features as on a dvd player, FF, Rev, Pause, Title menu, color, brightness, etc
4) I dont have SAT, i plug into AUX jack to listen to prerecorded stuff.
5) No aux video inputs, you have to get that modual to get video feed.

thanks, maybe you can post a review of everything in a while when you've had it for a while. Some pix of video features would be cool too.

Euro Command

Check out ebay. Search for mercedes command. There is one for sale now and the listing has multiple pictures on the video in action. I have seen it with my own eyes. The picture looks great.

OL you can have SAT and DVD, you just switch the unit from Euro to US mode in the backdoor settings.

Kevin, with the Euro model, you still need to add a modual to get that service correct?

Yes car has to be equipped from the factory with the option, or added after.

Kevin- Are you speaking of the 5-3-7 hack and then setting to US? Do you loose the British voice for Nav? I assume this isn't for all command units? A Euro command is required correct?

Thanks

Correct 537 hack, yes when it swithes back to US mode you do lose the British voice, of course it goes back once its in Euro Mode. Yes a Euro Comand is required
