Thumbs down Tire Vibration Problems on 63.

No bent wheels...
Alignment in spec...

However, 70mph = vibration

Dealer has now replaced my tires , Pirelli PZero, all-around due to
vibration issues at highway speeds. They have tried WITH success
to balance my tires (three times already) however, every 800mi or
so they are vibrating again. No missing weights equal new shoes.

Seems Mercedes has stepped up and, overnight, sent a whole new set under
warranty, even though I have 5,000mi on this set. It seems that
because I had a documented concern with the repeat balancing a new
set was in order!

I will report back to the community to see if this works.
Wish me luck!!

Now to break-in the new shoes...

ANYBODY else with CLS vibration issues? TIA

I brought mine in to the dealer...they supposedly check my tires and then balanced them again...still, they just doesn't seem to be as smooth as they should be...glad you posted this though...

Try the Michelin`s

Hate to say it but I had similar issues on my SL55
with the Pirelli`s. They seemed to get a vibration.
For me it was at 15-20 MPH. Felt like a wheel bearing.

The dealer put the Michelin PS`s on. Much softer tire.
Try them next time.

Have you inspected control arms and suspension components?

Had same issue with an E63. Test drove it and felt vibrations @60-70. They said the car was sitting in their inventory and could have a tire 'flat spot'.
They changed the tires and no problem now.

I have the same problem

It definitely does feel like a balancing issue, or the road conditions are not that great, and it even becomes worrysome at times, but it's mainly because of the air suspension. The suspension was made so that the tires absorb most of the shock so that it doesn't reach the carriage, minimizing the ride discomfort. I mainly feel it on the gas pedal or on the steering wheel, and it gets even worse when you have aftermarket wheels. Softer tires do help, but it won't necessarily eliminate the problem.
