Just got the sprint booster!

I can't wait to try it out. I'll post reviews after install (which will probably be tomorrow morning during work ).

I doubt it'll do much for the car honestly cause I don't have ANY throttle lag at all but we'll see. I might be putting it up for sale real quick if I don't notice a change. It would have been nice to have on my W211 cause I had all kinds of lag there.

Okay so you knew that I couldn't wait till tomorrow to do this.
I got the install done which was pretty easy. Not really sure if I did it right actually cause there are two ways that the wire fits but it seems to work so...

anyway, took it for a very quick ride down the road and back. There is definitely a difference. Basically this thing will make everyone in your car very very car sick. It's going to downshift as soon as you touch the throttle, which can be awesome if you wanna have a race-happy day on the freeway. As for WOT from stop, I can't imagine it would make any difference but I haven't tried it yet. I did notice that from a start I get a lot more wheel spin than usual.

Anyway, I can't say that I really like the jerky feeling right now. Like I said I didn't have ANY throttle lag before so I have even less now which I don't know, if is good or not. I'll post an update after some more driving tonight.

Can I borrow it before I take my mother-in-law for a ride?

LOL! It's a good way to get out of having to drive people around ever again. And I know this for a fact, I can't let ANYONE drive this car now cause they'll probably werck it.

Don't even talk to me about Fuel economy anymore man. This thing is ridiculous with gas as it is, I can't imagine it'll get any worst. And like I said, I don't think I'll be keeping the sprintbooster very long. I got a great deal on it so I figure I can always sell it to my buddy that has some serious throttle lag for the same price.

How on earth does a cell phone booster make your car go faster? Maybe you should switch to the "ATT" booster..Let me know

Does not add horses of course of couse but I have a feeling the 0-60 is gonna get a bit of a push into the high 3s. We'll see tomorrow. I am getting up at 5 am for an eary golf game, it should be nice and cool out and there is a nice stretch of road on University that I can do another run on. UI'll post times them. The cold morning air and the sprint booster should help if I can get traction from the dew-wet roads.

C mode? C mode is for sunday drivers and old people. My E55 and SLK55 have sprint boosters and both are in S mode all the time. I love the extra oomph the sprint booster gives. Just give your foot some time to adjust. If you take it out and drive the car you'll think how did I ever drive this car like this, it's terrible! Then you'll put it back in.

When I got my SLK and drove it I thought I had been duped and had a 280 with only 1/2 the cylinders working because of that darn throttle computer. I'm serious, I actually popped the hood to make sure it was a V8. I was thorougly spoiled by the sprint booster in my E55. Took the sprint booster out of my E and put it in the SLK...problem solved. Now it feels like I have a big V8 in there.

Sprint Booster

I just installed the Sprint Booster.....this thing is awesome!!! It was worth every $ and it only took 5 mins to install.

I recommend it to everyone who has exerienced throttle lag.....the Sprint booster is your solution.

I got it from CKS Performance, www.cksperformance.co.uk for $290 shipped in less than a week. I first ordered it from slkfans and waited 3 weeks, then my order was refunded.

I love driving this car!

I am selling my Sprint Booster for $200 shipped, or I'm willing to trade it for the AMG model SB.

PM me interested.
