Wow, speaking of Maximas, I just got back from the dealership and was taking the SL55 home when a black maxima came flying up in the left lane. We ran from 30-80. Without flooring it, by 50 I had a substantial gain on him and then I pinned it and the car went sideways up to about 80mph, tires spinning like crazy. It was hilarious, you should have seen the look on the guys face.
Sorry, I just had to share that lol.

TRACTION!!!!
thats the key in the vipers. the runcraps on the srt-10's suck especially when there cold. if the mfgr's would put a good sticky tire in the 19" 345 size the srt-10's would get much better launches and win more "street races"
On a track my srt-10 is about .5 of a second faster in the 1/4 mile than my cls55. I have seen better drivers than myself put sub 12 second runs in the srt-10, I haven't been able to get there yet though.

That's what the guy told me about cold tires. I didn't hear any wheel spin from either car, but to be fair there was a ton of engine noise and I was on the phone with my mom during the whole race.

Nice kill. I will admit, even if he cant drive you still won and that was your advantage. Like someone else said here, with a good driver the Viper can run 11.7 or 11.8. Just takes LOTs of practice. The Viper use to be hard to drive when i first got it, now its seconed nature since i use it everyday. I think a Metro would smoke my Viper on some days when i cant launch though!
Enzo, Carrera GT-don't consider them production cars).

First off I don't have a CLS63 but I don't see my CLS55 being that much different. Let me tell you first hand there is no comparison. I absolutely love my CLS but it is not faster or quicker than my Viper. Of course hooking up on the street is nearly impossible in 1st or 2nd gear with the Viper.
No doubt you could beat a Viper in a street race with your 63 but all things being equal (driver skill) the Viper should win.
Great Kill BTW. I know if I was out in my Viper and lost to a 4 door sedan it would be embarrassing
