Question Check Engine light

7500 miles on the car and now it looks like I could have my first issue?!? Check engine light came on last night. Gas cap, check. Oil level, check....

Any other ideas before I spend time at the dealership? What can I do to diagnose on my own.

Thanks for any feedback!

Run to any car parts store and buy yourself a OBDII scanner. Or you can let Autozone scan it for you for free.

P.S. Don't let the word Autozone scare you, a OBDII scanner is a OBDII scanner. They're all the same and won't hurt your car. Get the codes and come back to us.

Me too..

My check engine light is on also. I already pulled my code, it was #507 idle higher than expected. I looked it up in the service computer and it said probably the accelerator pedal sensor. I watched the output on my scanner and it went from 2% throttle open to only 94% throttle open. Going to the dealer tommorrow. Fun Fun..

Talking Fixed

Charcoal Canister has Minor Leak and was replaced today. they also replaced the fuel evap system.

This was the reason for the check engine light
