My cls 63 030/ designo graphite just came today and I went to my dealer as quick as possible. but.... what the hell!!! exterior was graphite but interior was just like other normal CLS 63s!!! charcoal interior with high gloss wood.... what the hell... how could it be only exterior and not be interior... dealer is finding what the hell is going on.. anyone knows why mb makes such a mistake like this? and if anyone has designo graphite, would you please show me how it is like? oh my... oh my... i've been waiting this for long time... he said there are other cls with graphite in other states. he will make every possible call to ask them whether they have porcelain leather w/ black piano wood or not. hoo... If anyone knows tuning shop that can totally twick my interior, please recommend for me. I'm in Washington state.

 

I can't see MB making that big of a mistake.. but if that really did happen, that sucks.. Sorry man.

uh.... ur gonna take ur car to a tuner to "twick" your interior..... that means after spending $90,000 on a "wrong car" - you would resort to spending another $10K to change the "factory" status of your car...... reducing the value by . ohhhh... 40%......

Mercedes would NOT make a Designo car without doing the inside. They are not preschool. They may have terrible delivery dates and pushbacks..... but they arent going to go to do a car half way.

 

Actually, it could happen if the customer or the dealer order the car specifically like that.

 

Let's see a copy of the window sticker. That will resolve the issues!

yea totally. If I ordered a car with a 12K option on it...... and it came in wrong.... the answer is Simple "IM NOT TAKING THE CAR"

I don't think I said I took the car... did I? they were going to put illuminated door sills, so it was gonna take another couple of days. but since the dealer said it arrived here, I went to see it. dealer said he doesn't know what happened. and he found out on the sticker, it says Designo graphite, Charcoal interior...etc. then I asked him to do some search for other CLS 63 designo graphite interior...and he found that there are 8 CLS63 designo graphite is available, but all of them are saying Charcoal interior on the screen. he said he will make calls to those dealers to check their interior colors anyway... so I didn't take the car and the car is still with the dealer. reason why I asked you guys about tuning shop is that if I have to take this car I wanted to change that normal looking interior.,(dealer said if he cannot find right car, he will give good discount) I don't think there are poser issue here. oh, by the way, lot of MB dealers have no idea of what they are selling. when I ordered it. i double checked and tripple checked it. and he said. "designo graphite only comes with one interior combo. I simply took his word. anyway, i hear you guys saying do not take this car...is there any better suggestions?

That would be very helpful to us considering ordering a car.

FYI, the E55 designo Graphite edition comes with black leather AFAIK. The Espresso edition comes with sand leather.

Could this be one of those AMG variations that MBUSA is doing? It's absolutely stupid that MBUSA has to tell us where we can spend our money on our cars by restricting the amount of designo options available to us in the form of packages.

 

Kev, I just received phone call from my dealer... and he said all the other 8 of cls 63 with designo graphite has same charcoal interior... It is really hard to believe this situation...and he is keep saying two tone interior is launch edition which does not make sense at all!! launch edition was totally diff color as porcelain/charcoal two tone interior... i don't know.. It's time to ***** at this dealer... let's see how the deal is going..

Well regardless of whether you get the car or not....we want pics of the car/interior and/or the window sticker....otherwise I don't think anyone will believe you

I've seen a CLS63 Mystic White in person and it does have the two tone cashmere beige interior......

 

first of all, I had some bad experiences with two close located MB dealerships.. so this time, I ordered this vehicle from almost 1 and a half hour drive (one way) away dealership. as i said earlier, I will take pix when I have a time to go back there again and take it. I don't really care whether anyone believe it or not. I wanted some recommendations. like i said, I will post a picture. plus, this dealer is in washington state. somehow, I wanted to hear some recommendations, but this post became whether i'm lying or not. this is pretty stupid of looking at people go "MB is not a preschool, they won't do it." or "I think it's a fraud, such a poser etc"
