Finally - Got it
I have been waiting for me E55 lease to come up and then for my financial position to get better. Last Jan, finally put a deposit and picked up my CLS63 yesterday (there is no white/ash anywhere in the US). Normally, I would observe the break in period with occasional reving to 5K. But, I would have to say, with only 22 mph on the odometer, I had to make sure it was going to perform. 1st Launch - ok. 2nd Launch - 1100 rpm brake torque, great launch. The car feels strong. Brother in law came over last night and did a launch, and it felt strong with him in the car. Didn't downshift(around 40mph) as much as the E55, but I am still getting use to the spacing of the gears.
The amg menu where it shows what gear you are in is addicting.
Does anybody have any pictures (from the front) of a while CLS with the blacked on grill except the MB star. That is the first mod I would like to do. I am in Orange County and would even love to see that in person.
2nd Mod - thinking of doing the charcoal filters, but then I wouldn't appreciate how helpful that mod is since I don't have that much time behind the seat yet.
Overall, the exhaust, the handling, and the look of the car. - Awsome.

Congrats man, I have the exact same combo an in OC no less. It is very rare. Actually not sure what my interior color is but it's a real black color, might be charcoal.

Oh now we have two WHITE CLS 63's look out....Congrats, youre gonna LOVE her. Screw breaking her in drive fast all the time she will be fine. Also make sure you try c/s setting, look at what gear you are launching in as the c/s position should say 1st. Mine for some reason started in 2nd . WOW get some pics up man.

Looks like you're using the "just got the car and can't wait for the long break-in bull**** period" technique...
I know how you feel, it is just very hard to buy a new AMG and wait a couple of months before using its full potential. 
First order of business, post pictures here...
I agree with you about not removing the charcoal filters yet. That should give you time to get used to how the car feels. Then when you do remove them, you'll be able to feel the difference better.
By the way, your car took 3 months to get built and delivered? That doesn't give me much hope, since my car was supposedly ordered in April... That means I have to wait to July (maybe August)...

I was in a wedding yesterday so I couldn't take her out.
Turning on the iginition is definitely a wow factor. Had to roll down my window just to enjoy it!
Juice63 - my car is starting in 1st everytime. I am addicted to the amg menu where it tell you what gear you are in. When I am cruising at 40mph, many times I try to upshift to 6 or 7, (why not save some gas for some fun later)
TREZ63 - did you get 4.0 or less this weekend?
MB_Forever - I ordered mine in mid Jan. Feb they told me it would be ready in April. In April, they told me that MB didn't pick up the order and now I will have to wait for August for an 08. I thought about waiting for the refreshing in 08, then thought, that is a long time to wait for something that doesn't look like a whole lot of change. So I pushed them and they found an error in the MB status screen and then said my car would be ready on April 18.
I have never posted any pictures, but after I get tinted windows, I will post some.
Thanks for the warm wishes. Glad to be back in an AMG after a 3 month break.

CLS White Color Star Grill
Congrads. The first 1k miles I didn't sleep just thinking it was in MY garage.
I too have a white/ash. Its a 55 with the 030 package. The color of the 2 piece wheels just makes the car looks so much better and you don't have to upgrade the wheels!
Last week at the MB of BH car show, Globe Tire and Motorsport was showing their 07 CL FAB Design wide body kit in all white. The Grill looks great white with the star recessed perforations white instead of the factory black. The star remains chrome. You gotta see the grill at Globe on the car.
This can be easily duplicated on the CLS, which I am doing to my Alibaster Beast.
