AMG seats: problem or normal??

The AMG seat (driver side) on my 55 insists on inflating in the lumbar area upon each restart. It has been to the dealership, who reset all the settings to factory default, also disengaged the key-dependent settings, so now only the memory setting ought to control. But, the darn lumbar bladder insists upon inflating itself each time the car is started. I also frankly find these AMG seats to look nice, but be pretty lame in terms of actual comfort (as compared to the seats on my Carrera, the RS6 or even Lexus). Any insights would be appreciated. thanks.

I believe you seat is saved as memory therefor will always inflate.

To remove this, you have to deflate it (read manual), or see if the below helps.
The way to do this is use the controller under your seat. Its located right side under your driver seat.
You will see that it has a (+ )&( -) sign. These control how inflated the lump thing is . So in your case press (-) sign till your happy
the + and - should be on left and right, in the middle of them theres an (up) and (down) button. These control where the lump is to be situated ( high up or down lower back)
There is also a long shaped plastic switch this controls the side Restraints to make the seat hold you in place.
Hope this helps and sorry wrote this in a hurry

Someone's misfortune is my gain.

Thanks for the insight. You should have wrote the book on this since you make it so simple. I now know how the lump works.

BTW...The seats are great- especially the optional dynamic seats for those of us who pay to play.

BTW again--The CL model has an additional feature. The seat bottom can extend for those that are really tall.

Zod-
Thanks indeed for your help; I'll try your suggestions and hope they work. Nothing else certainly has, including taking it to the dealership (goes back AGAIN next Monday for this same issue). I rarely drive long distance, but yesterday had to drive for 2 hours, and the damn seat just killed me and I hated every minute of the seat , but love the car . Frankly, I think the Drive Dynamic seats are way too gimmicky; I wish I had known better b/c I would just have gotten the "standard" ones that come w/ the 55. But thanks again for your help!
