That is the slowest Porsche TT I've ever seen in my life! That guy also was a horrible driver. I've seen regular Carrera S2's run 12.9's @ 109mph.

Since CLS 63's are only running 13's I'd love to race one in my car. Guess I'll have to setup a race vs my cousins E63.

See this is where I fault Juicee, he thinks/acts like this is what will happen the next time he runs into a 996TT, obviously not the case. Catching a newbie at the drags is a huge difference, just think he should clarify his win as "Hey I got extremely lucky at the drags, I know this wouldn't happen w/a decent P-car pilot"

I certainly hope not... there really shouldnt be a comparison betw/ those cars4d luxury sedan vs 2d awd TT porsche
juicee is also a rookie...but it goes to show how well of a car the amgs really are, There are better cars out there but if U make 1 mistake, the AMG will take u down. video proves it...

You make a very intelligent point kudos! But in the vid above I think the guy was below a regular newbie, prolly dropped the joint he was smoking in his lap..lol.. Cause from a roll on the frwy (most our encounters will be there, the P-TT will eat him alive, and are known world over for brutal awd launches.

Aren't some of the TT's Tiptronic autos? I admittedly know very little about P-cars...
Edit: Just looked it up they have Tiptronic Automatic 5 speed option..

Well he mentioned in a thread in the kill sections that his best times were in the 13's above sea level. I still say that Porsche driver was extremely HORRIBLE! By the way the Automatic(triptronic) TT 997's are faster all around than the manual transmission 997TT. Here are his slips:

Why should'nt there be a comparison? If you have 500+hp E55's running 11's(4dr family sedan). Sure it's fit to compare in straight line runs vs P-cars as are E60M5's.

it was a 996.

i had a go once with my cls against a 996 turbo. we raced on a public road though. it was actually a rolling start, up to 130mph we were tied and then we had to slow down for traffic. the 996 was triptronic and i knew he gave it 100%. so i know for a fact that there isnt much between them, and for sure if you get a better start with those amg engines it will be extremley difficult to make up the time.

On one hand you have the CLS55(more mod potential and more Tq stck) and on the other hand you have the CLS63(less mod potential). In my opinion, two completely different cars in how they make power and run. I don't doubt your experience at all. But we are talking about the CLS63 here. PLUS we are talking about the 1/4 mile here.

He actually had a better time but I crossed the line first because his launch was poor
ok maybe this data helps a bit. If this is from the run that you are talking about here in this video, how did u win? He has a quicker ET and a faster trap speed, so how did the Porsche lose this race The only thing i can think of is that you guys have a different style of "racing" and maybe if u left the line first and crossed the line first that constitutes a "win" on this track, i am truly miffed, because even if you did leave first he has 8 more mph then your trap, he should have been running you down real fast.

I used to drive a 997TT (not 996). It beats any AMG (besides 65s) in any conditions. It was a tiptronic and how you launch it is you hit the sport button, hold in the brake and the gas and watch (and hear) the boost raise (takes about 2-3 seconds). Once it hits a certain point, you release the brake and the car takes off like no other.
I just think the Porsche driver sucked at launching or was maybe trying to do an easy launch. Look at his trap compared to Juice's, big difference.
Still, it must feel good to come ahead of a P Turbo.

The race was deemed a TIE by the tower, LOL. He says at the end "A picture is worth on thousand words" I beat him accross the line he beat my time and trap speed. This car was running 12.4@115 all day. You guys claiming he was a rrokie blah blah blah..I was first to cross thats all that matters cept I red lighted so I lost . I was just trying to show my great launch but it seems like the 63 bashing lives on.. Project you keep saying the 63 runs a 13.3 blah blah blah and the 55 runs blah blah blah . You are comparing my 13.3-13.7 to E55 time at Sea Level. NO STOCK E55, could EVER in a million years run in the ELEVENS ! Even a highly modded 55 would have trouble here, the traction is bad and the altitude sucks all your HP. So do not compare my time to 11.7 second east coast sea level 55's it is absolutely unfair. My correc ted times were 12.48-12.6 yes that 996TT is one second faster than me in the 1/4 mile it is also chipped from speed gallery and at sea level would run 11.6@125.

All the manual cars had a wide variance in times The modded s4 beat me 11.9@120 to 13.3@106. On the next run the guys clutch failed he missed 1st ? And I edged him at the line he still trapped 120. I just had too big a lead to make up. So yes you are 100% correct , he failed on this run to launch, I had a huge lead which he caught me but I passed the line maybe 18 inches before him. The announcer and crowd wanted a photo because nobody could tell the Tower was so awed by the close race they failed to post times.

So yes in a drag race the WIN goes to whomever crosses the line first, I could be beaten by much slower cars if i spin out , hit limiter etc. Its about driving and the P car driver while skilled obviously bogged down on the launch.

That car ate me 2/3, and the modded cars did the same. But I came back and beat them. The chipped 996 was alot faster than you guys are suggesting.

The Slips above although from my runs with an S4 can be used especially the slip that I won becuase the race was Very similar to the P car but the S4 was .5 faster than the P car for the most part. my car was closer to the 996TT than it was to the tri-turboed s4. You see my time is worse , trap speed worse but I cross the line FIRST same thing against the P car cept the MOV was .002! One of the closest races to a TIE ever at this track.

My times are GREAT!!

They are faster than 90% of the cars on this track!

This car has been chipped by speed gallery and would absolutely murder your ride. Fact is it is extreemely difficult to win against a MUCH FASTER CAR. I posted the video because the race was a great test of the 996TT make up speed and the 63's ability to produce smooth run after smooth run. This is a 12.4 car @LACR . Its likely .5-.9/10th faster than my 63 will ever be. BUT I BEAT HIM w/o a dial lead. I beat him on this run and it required a near perfect run in my car. This was the German Invasion, many pro drivers in highly modded cars, and the 63 earned alot of respect amongst the attendees. Funny you guys watch the video and make 1000 excuses for the p car driver rather than seeing it as an exciting race. This is not a paper tiger contest. Line em up, anything can happen and the 63 wins alot more than she loses. I was running mid 14's two weeks ago. My times are mid to low 13's now and corrected to sea level they are the fastest 63 runs in the USA!!!

EDIT:2nd fastest run in the USA

Just as you assertained. He reeled me in but not fast enough. On the slip I lost because I had a red light by .008. His reaction time was .656 so that is why he failed to catch me

I'm confused. Is'nt that slip the race you had against Evil Empires Modded Audi S4? On this same day you raced the Porsche as well no?

I know project, I am sorry.

I never ran EE's car. Just the other speed tuned AUDIS. They were similar to EE car cept non-wagon.

The Porsche ran similar times lower traps but was getting down the track in 12.4. His run against me was slow compared to what the car is capable of when drivin correctly.
