Wheels are done, what do you think?

Okay so the wheels came back looking good. The job was done very well and clean. But I am not too sure about how good they look on the car.

Should I paint the center cap black too? What about the bolts?
What about painting the calipers white?

What do you think of the look overall? Any constructive criticism?
Do you think it'll look better lowered?
What if I tint the tail lights too?

nice car!

imo, i think you should paint your side markers the same color as your wheels. this will give the car more constrast. i would definately lower the car a little bit more.

i do prefer the original color on the wheels, but these look great too.

again, nice car!

Trez , I liked the idea of leaving a little lip? Or giving it a red line so the tire and wheel can be distinguished. Looks very aggressive , I do like it but I thionk Fran is correct, a bit more contrast so tthe line of the car remains distinguished.

You cant even notice the lug nuts. They are fine. The Center cap breaks it up nicely. All black would look a little weird. Im glad you wanted to powdercoat the wheels, instead of painting them. The Powdercoat Lasts waaay longer, and also it would be very difficult to get any kind of dings in it. I agree on the pictures, they dont do it justice, but the wheels look great. You will def. need to go see your buddy to get it lowered just a little bit. It will look a lot meaner with a lower stance IMO of course. Overall, your car looks Great. good job T. you totally changed the look and sound of the car with a few minor tweaks, Your taillights look fine the way they are. Maybe Blacking out your emblems wouldnt be such a bad idea.

Tan I hope you can post some more pics that show off the wheels better. For me I am just not feeling it but to each their own. I like black wheels on white cars but not all black like Josh said (a polished or chrome lip is needed IMO).

The first thing I thought of when I saw your wheels was Ricker's blacked out wheels which look great on his car since the car is all black.

Ill wait for more pics.

When I saw the 1st pic I didn see any wheel but then I look at the pics more carefull and then I realize that they are black wheels.

They look very agressive and I agree with couple members here that polish/chrome lips are needed here but to each his own

Tan,

Here's some more pics. they look worst in pics cause it's hard to get the contrast. I need to do a white reset on the camera next time. Lighting sicks when trying to concentrate on black with a lot of white, it drawns both colors. Anyway, here's a few but I hear what you guys are saying.

I still cant really tell, to me it just looks the wheels are a continuation/direct extension of the tire. Ill see them in person soon enough but IMO it takes away from the classic lines of the car and reminds me of a much rougher look; kind of like those trucks that are lifted and have blacked out wheels. I tell you this because I know you want honest feedback and others may think I am wrong. What matters is that no matter what I say (you did ask for thoughts per your title of the thread) is that you like them.

Good luck!

After seeing these picsI change my mind about the lowering but I feel that the rims are too blk with not enough contrast...

I really dont care for it, but again, thats what makes the world go round. Personally, you need a little contrast like some people have mentioned in earlier posts. If you are going to stay with black rims, perhaps you should black out the chrome around the windows..

I think it's good your just missing some contrast with the wheels. I think that you need some black on the body you could do a black roof and maybe some other parts oh and lower it. I think you are heading in the right direction of being unique! Good luck keep me posted.

Im a big fan of the car but not really the wheels being all black. I can tell from the tone of your writing that you really arent feeling it either. From experience, almost every set of wheels I got I didnt really like the first day or two. Give it a little time and if you arent happy toss em, no biggy.

the center cap need to be painted because they currently make the wheel look smaller in silver, when u make them black they will become more subtle and blend into the wheel better to make the wheel seem bigger. i really like the wheels like that, maybe the "time attack" style will help set off the wheel better and give it contrast. i made a few chops to give u an idea

mpower, wow... that does make a huuuuuuuge difference! i still think any black wheels on a car, looks smaller then they actually are. but heck, you did a nice job with photoshop! it does looks 1000X better. without the color lip makes it look like he has spare tires on.

by the way, if i give you a picture of my ride, can you photoshop it and put dual vulcan cannons on my hood?

me like

trez, i say you go with the white or silver trim, but the red does make your car look like a racer.

Not diggin it, I guess I'm just burned out on black wheels. I think clear markers look better then the painted white as well.
