Time Attack style, hahahaha. Never expect to see something like that in a MB forum, but they make the car looks alot better. Go with red lip and red caliper, much better looking than what you have now.

You name it i've had it or got it...
No matter what do the center cap in black....if you keep the rim all black do the caliper in either white or black...if you do white just remember it will be a b@tch to keep clean. the red line lip idea is clean and adds a little attention to detail..if you went that route then you should do the caliper in red or black. i wouldn't do the white line on the lip because it will look almost like a white wall on the tire....like you see on old cars and low riders. just my 2 cents.

Okay so the wheels came back looking good. The job was done very well and clean. But I am not too sure about how good they look on the car.
Should I paint the center cap black too? What about the bolts?
What about painting the calipers white?
What do you think of the look overall? Any constructive criticism?
Do you think it'll look better lowered?

mpower, wow... that does make a huuuuuuuge difference! i still think any black wheels on a car, looks smaller then they actually are. but heck, you did a nice job with photoshop! it does looks 1000X better. without the color lip makes it look like he has spare tires on. by the way, if i give you a picture of my ride, can you photoshop it and put dual vulcan cannons on my hood?

trez, i say you go with the white or silver trim, but the red does make your car look like a racer.

WOW!!! MPoweredinNY, you rock bro. Those are some mad chop skills. With such low quality images none the less. Thanks man, it really opened my eyes. I am kind leaning towards the white lip right now. I don't think I am going to paint the calipers cause painting them white wouldn't be that much diff than leaving the silver.
But that looks HOT!! Thanks again man. I am gonna wait a couple of weeks and see how I like this new look. I already got some complimets today on the drive over to work. It's definitely an attention getter (not so good with the popos)

I am gonna make a statement about the SL when I wake up tomorrow that basically says it all. Hang tight till I wake up cause it's just too late (3am) right now to make any good sense. You missed out in Hermosa tonight bro, some amazing (and I mean amazing) looking hotties. My eyes were working overtime, sensory overload. I'll fill you in later.

I hate to say it...but that white lip/white caliper is the best combo...Hardest to keep clean...but looks the best. I usually love the time attack style, but I think it looks too "aggressive" for the lines of the CLS...

ehm ehm ehm... sorry if i hurt u pal... but seriously u've converted a monster into a chicken... overall look is of a 1988 datsun without any rims... what u need is a crome trim ( i dont know what its called) but adding a crome to the lining that touches the wheel and while colored brakes may give it a boost... black on a white car never boosts up... black on black... or white on white...well adds some spice to the car... u can also consider get all the edges painted white....
