Usa & Euro

Who knows the difference between USA Mercedes and Euro ?
Why so big difference in price? Maybe quality?
For example CLS 6.3

Euro Version Vs U.S. Version

There is definately a HUGE difference in quality. The 100% German made Benzes are much better in quality, have much better reliability, have better looks, and definately more options. Just to give you an example, my 1993 (100% German) E-Class had better wood trims, buttons, and overall feel than my 2005 CL500. Oh, and the car went 158,000 miles without going to the dealer for any service except for oil change, brakes, and minor maintenance. In comparison, my CL500 (supposed to be one of the top-of-the-line class from Mercedes) visited the shop 7 times in the 1st 4 weeks due to problems in electronics and suspension.

I don't know why this is the case or why people don't raise this issue with Mercedes, but I really think people need to start pushing this issue.

One more thing.....

I agree with you and feel qualified due to having also owned a 1993 E Class and a 2000 CL500. I also think that MB just made higher quality cars in the early 90s.

2010 RRS ; BMW K1200R; 14 E350 ; 14 RRS on order
MB just made higher quality cars back then. Its the same crap no matter where you get it unless you're getting a US production Model which I wouldn't. the alabama plant turned out to be little more than crap as far as quality. The cars are about the same though. Prices are different due to US volume and that's it.

Comparing a 1993 Benz and a 2005 Benz is like apples and oranges.
