Would you go with a Satin Black finish or a Glossy Black finish? I can't decide which way to go. The color of my car is Pewter. I think I am leaning towards Satin Black....but I can't fully decide. So what do you think?

i feel like gloss is the safe route....just thinking that the satin might be something different and eye catching. the thing is the wheels are 3 piece....so it is a tough call. i think the satin is more of a race type of look...where the glossy is more of an elegant look. ahhhh decisions....

i got maya mrs wheels the one on the way right...attached are examples of flat back which is very similar to satin...but satin is a little more black looking since it has 20% gloss...most people know what glossy black looks like i take it

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
I think that's the right way to do it too...especially since your wheels have a chrome lip. Now, on the other hand, if your lip was polished, it would look nicer with a satin finish.

CL550 full lorinser kit including exhaust, 22x9 22x10.5 GFG Lagunas Matte Black...not my car though...a friend's. people people people...as i stated...I am painting the lip as well. The lip will be black as well as most of the face..like in that pic of the maya wheel...only difference is lip will be black. I will look into a metallic black when i go look at samples tomorrow. Sounds like an intriguing idea. Thanks for the input.

Ron, wait!!!
Don't lose the shine on the lips of your wheels!
I think blacking out the center is good enough.
The shine from the lips will match nicely with the chrome accents found around the car (i.e. window trim, trunk trim, badges, etc.).
A black lip kind of makes the wheel looked buried inside your wheel well. That's probably not a good explaination, but when you've got the black tire meeting a black lip it might make the wheels pop out less.
Did that make sense?![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Anyway, let us know after you see those samples tomorrow.
