Speed Booster Question!!!!
Got my speed booster, which I ordered on EBay, now wha the hell do I do with it? I have no idea where or how to install it. I read in previous posts that it is installed under the accelerator (does this mean the pedal)? If so how exactly is it done? I also read that it only takes 120 seconds, but you must realize I am mechanically challenged. When I say I need very specific instructions - I mean idiot proof. This message board has been such a great help with all my questions and I know you guys will pull for me now.
Thanks

Just take off the black plastic cap covering the single screw holding the pedal to the floor and unscrew using 11mm socket I believe. Pull pedal assembly out and you'll see its cable. Unclip the cable from the pedal and put the SB in line between pedal and cable. It's impossible, IMPOSSIBLE, to screw up.

Thanks so much for the help guys. I got it installed. Please take the time to read the thread I left after testing my cars horsepower today. I felt like somebody had kicked me right in the nuts. Give me some advice please?

Seems like it took the lag out and the pedal is more responsive. For around $300, I think it is well worth it.

What a difference this thing makes! If I didn't know that it was correcting the fly-by-wire lag issue I would have thought someone had re-programmed my ECU to add 30HP or something. It feels like the car pulls so much harder from the light. Best $300 you can spend!

Sprint Booster is a great mod. I had one on my C32 and it made a very noticable difference in acceleration. It removed the throttle lag completely.
However, it had one draw back: it made the car way too jumpy, which maybe uncomfortable for everyday driving.
I would recommend it for the 63s and maybe 32s, but definately NOT the 55s because it made the car way too jumpy, and with the amount of torque the 55s put down, you'll be burning rubber everytime you stop and go...... Well, that may or may not be a bad thing

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
Right. I've heard others having the same observations about the SB. Also, driving in 'Comfort' shift mode helps to minimize the jerkiness when accelerating from a stop.

No difference in my car (CLS63) in terms of everyday driving/cruising. Not experiencing the "jumpiness" that may be evident in the 55s. However, stomp on the gas pedal at the light and things are definitely different!
