First Run At The Track Tonight!!!!

Gentlemen,
I (the guy with the low dyno numbers) took my car to the track this evening to test its time. Unfortunately the track was short, and only allowed 1/8 mile runs. I made only one run because the wait was so long between runs. Here are my results:
Reaction: .6416
60FT: 2.1341
330FT: 5.7453
1/8ET: 8.6687
1/8 MPH: 85.05

I ran the car in dyno mode and I was terrible at the start. An older model Vette got a huge jump on me but I quickly ran him down. The track is in the middle of the woods, so I practiced a little on the country roads. I noticed my car was shifting from first to second at about 6200 RPM's, from 2nd to 3rd at about 6500 and from 3rd to 4th at 7,000. This was not in DYNO mode. With me having an ECU upgrade, should my shifts not all be around 7200? Since I have the upgrade, should I have done my run at the track in non DYNO mode? Juicee I know you are the expert on track runs, so I have several more questions when you get the time.
Thanks

Your run was actually not bad for the 1st run. It usually takes the ECU 2 or 3 runs to adapt to fast driving again. Now to answer some of your questions:

ECU tuners do not change the shift points directly, rather they manipulate several factors/elements to help land the shift points at optimum rpms. I'm not sure about TCU upgrades though? It may actually do it?

Dyno mode definately helps. It shuts off all electronics and interferences in an effort to give you maximum power output.

what time was your run and where?

Your shift points definately hindered your run. did your car shift more aggressively in dyno mode?

Hopefully you had fun?

your 60ft was not as bad as you think 2.1, I was doing 2.3-2.5 on my first runs.

Saturday night at around 9:30 PM Central time. Location was Prescott, Arkansas about 1 hour west of Little Rock. I am not going to get the chance to go to the track this weekend, but should make it next. My car is running very strong now, it has 1800 miles on it and I have been driving it like I stole it. Got up to 185 tonight on the way back from Louisiana, but backed off. I know it had more than one mile per hour left, but I don't know how much more. I plan on taking it back out and seeing what the top end comes in at.
Question for you: My shifts are as follows - 1st to 2nd at 6500 RPMs, 2nd to 3rd at 6800, all the rest at 7100. Why are the first two shifts early? Is this okay for premium performance? If not, what can I do to get those shifts to all be at 7100? Rarfinancial sent me a message earlier and told me he was headed to the track this weekend. Wish him luck when you get the chance.

Its hard to say why your car is choosing the shift points it is, without all of the information.........who did the ECU work? Was the TCU done as well?

The best theory I have is that your car , and the car is still adapting to your driving and is selecting when to shift based on optimum torque, etc.

You may try using the manual mode to teach the car when you want it to shift.
