X-Pipe!!

Hey guys, As you all might know by now. I LOVE the MODS So thanks to MR. VADIM and crew the X- pipe will be installed Friday morning. I will give my feedback on the sound and workmanship Friday evening after my drive home But if you've seen the facility they have, I'm sure all will be 100%. I have straight pipes now but just a little to boat sounding for my liking.

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
I didn't realize you had straight pipes.
So the Xpipe Vadim constructed will bring the noise down, right?

I do a lot of traveling for work and unfortunately, I will be out that whole week.

Good luck with your runs. I can't wait to see the numbers you pull with those mods.

O.K Guys,, Did the X-Pipe install this morning. If you have your res, removed already then just some slight fabrication will be needed but no big deal just a small extention. If you have the res in place then the fitment is perfect. Now for the sound, Let me start by saying I have had my Res removed for quite some time now and it sounds good but a little on the rough side, like an older muscule car sound (boaty). NOW! with the X-Pipe installed the tone and note match the quality and style of a true performance sports car. Nice high rev sound and perfect deceleration note. Very tight and well groomed Sound . I am 100% satisfied and my search for the perfect exhaust tone has now come to an end. If you have any questions feel free to ask. You can hear the car on the 26th at California Speedway.

I stopped by GMG last week and had the chance to listen to a E63 with the x pipe. Definitely makes a difference (for the better!). Sounds throatier at idle and more growly when blipping the throttle. Did not have a chance to hear it under acceleration but I'm sure it sounds awesome.

Hey rar, I have a question for you. Do you have this same thing happen to your car?

If the car has been in gear and driven hard, if I put it in nuetral and revv I get a nice high revv to 5-6K rpm. Love it

But if I've been driving it slow, in nuetral it only will rev to like 2000 rpm and cuts out. WTF is up with that?

I'm guessing if you have the same issue then the xpipe won't change it.
I talked to vadim about it and he said it wasn normal.

and by the way, can you PM and tell me how much was the X-Pipe and installation.

It is normal. Reving car in neutral is not good for the tranny, this why MB is limiting how much of it you can do.

P.S. Rick, keep safe. I hope you are OK.

How does it sound inside the cabin? From what I read the sound is preferrable over straight pipe.

If you travel above 10mph, you can switch into neutral then rev. It won't be limited to 3k or so but instead will rev to redline. You can do it to hear the X-pipe difference, then come to a complete stop before engaging a gear.

Now... Vadim, is that bad for the tranny? As long as you don't engage a gear, what harm could it cause?

Oh, lets see TQ converter balooning form excessive pressure, main thrust bearings failure if transmission is dropped into drive at high RPMs, and many other potential problems.
