new car opinions please

I'm thinking about getting a 2nd car as a promotional / advertising write off for the company...Not a daily driver, just a weekend car. Here's the choices:

'05 or '06 Gallardo

Aston Martin V8

Porsche 997TT

What do you guys think would be best impact for ad campaigns for the wheels??? I've been using my 63, but that's my daily driver and I like to keep the ads fresh and new. I'm leaning towards a white 997TT, because dropped on CF5ive's and 700hp would be fun

The Gallardo is cool, but problematic and expensive, plus you can't drive it too much. The AM looks awesome, but slow...The Porsche is the least exotic, but the most fun in my opinion...

Opinions Please!!!

I can't stand that Aston Martin AM. It's a worthless slow pos. Don't even think about it.

I personally would go for the Gallardo, and yes it can be driven everywhere, anytime.

The Porsche is nice too, so it would be my second choice.

Gallardo! an ex associate had one, they can be problematic but I guess it depends on who owns it how they take care of it.

I would definately get this car if I had the opportunity.

Good luck

You name it i've had it or got it...
997 Turbo....

997 Turbo is more of a mainstream exotic. More people can relate etc... The car is by far the best exotic for performance and reliability also...but that is a separate issue. The 997 is a car that still needs wheels to set it apart since you see them fairly regularly...so with your wheels you should take the looks of it to the next notch.

Gallardo is a sick car don't get me wrong. The thing is I look at it as a car that already looks sick. You add wheels and yes it can look better....but how much better is the question....and I would say not much.

I would stay away from the Aston...unless you did a V8 Vantage with a Mansory Kit. The lines of that kit and the car in combo are insane. Problem would be the car is under-powered. So for driving purposes I don't think you would be too happy. The only other Aston would be the new DBS (which I am #1 on the list at a certain dealer) and you won't be able to get your hands on one without paying a pretty penny....if you can find one in the 1st place.

The other two cars are awesome, but the AM sucks *****. Looks cool, but sucks ***** otherwise. If you're looking for looks, the the G-Car is your best bet.

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
Since your intentions for this vehicle is for marketing the company and your wheels I say you go with the 997TT.

- The car IS an exotic and DOES kick some @ss.

- The photos you take now with your wheels makes it look even more appealing.

- This car (compared to the other two) will have numerous aftermarket parts from engine to body kits. You can add these later and have another new set of pictures.

- You already have pictures with your wheels on a Gallardo and I believe you also said an AM too.

- You'll have a much larger base of support (more 911's in consumer homes vs. the AM and Lambo) which means more potential customers.

Oh, and one more thing...you are right to get one in white.

Thanks Gentlemen! I'll most likely go with the 997TT, I'll keep everyone posted. I'll be installing a set of Cf5ives on a white one later on this month, so we'll see how it looks, thanks guys for all your opinions.

i have a 05 gallardo, and it can be a daily driver, however from your initial post, 04 and 05 gallardo might not be a good idea, warranty will be out, and lambo warranty is only good for 2 years. and you might start picking up some serious problems. thats why i am trading mine in at the end of the year.

no, they dont offer extended warranty. and i believe they stop offering that for pre-owned turbo cars also (996). it seems strange to me, but thats what i was told recently when i wanted to purchase extended warranty for the gallardo insteading of trading it in.

For a weekend car, I'd probably go with a Gallardo. I had one, and didn't like it a whole lot, but it was definitely flashy, and it sounds like what you need if you want to use it for advertising. I also had a turbo, and liked it a lot, but they look like just another Porsche to the untrained eye.

G-car would be my first choice but it might be to much for the rims. the car is so flashy already.
997TT why waist the money get a regular 997 put a TEC ART kit.
your rims will look good on any car you choose but i think it would look best on a P-car

Are you located in SoCal by any chance? I was just wondering which dealer you used if so. Thanks.

i purchased my Gallardo at Philips-Autos, however i called Lambo of orange county and they verified that is correct, there are no extended warranty for 07 and below models. maybe they are trying to push me into a new purchase, but either way, i do not want to be in a Lambo or any car without warranty. especailly with our driving habits

There's something about the Gallardo I just don't like on rims...It looks great lowered on the factory wheels, but I haven't seen one that looks perfect on rims, unless it's really low, but then you kill the ride.

I'll go with the TT Porsche...Picture it: white, lowered on 20" CF5ive, no tints, roll cage, full exhaust and 700HP! I need a tissue...

My friend has a gallardo on factory rims and I like the look a lot....I usually cant stand stock rims either. I also saw a black one with black 3 piece wheels that looked great...and I am not usually a fan of black rims on black cars anymore. Also, I saw a White Gallardo cab with black rims that almost made me have a heart attack...not sure if I would go that big but it was a show stopper.

Also as a 2nd car: G > P-car X 100000000000000000000000000

I love the 997 turbo, but the other is a Lambo. Nuff said.

Agreed, a s/c'd Z06 is ridiculously sik. Performance wise, you will certainly be at the top of the food chain. However, from a marketing standpoint, my vote still goes to the 997TT. The P-car will carry with it more prestige for the product (360 wheels) and in my opinion is more photogenic.

I personally feels that most people overlook the 997, most people dont realized the different between a 911/996/997 a porsche is a porsche, however most consumer would prefer the looks of a Cayman S over the 911/996/997 style. so thats why i dont think is a great show car. on the other had, how about a Aston Martin Vantage? thats a eye catching car for a pretty resonable 115k. or a Maserati Quattroporte for that same price. i think from a marketing stand point, those are better options..
