Done about 18k miles, bulletproof reliable, terrible AM reception (service not able to fix it),unstoppable in Chicago snow, more dependable then S600,S8 owned previously.
I don't like the power delivery ,throttle response and hate the brakes,it just doesn't have the refinement (powertrain) of the S600/65 and is marginally slower in acceleration on dry ,smooth road,on bad surface it just goes.
There are no storage spaces (abundant in S) ,no space to keep glasses or anything else but fit and finish of the interior is first class.
I test drove the new Speed, seems all my complaints (except storage space) are addressed in the new car,it is also significantly quicker (600+ hp and over 550lbs torque),test car had CCBs which performed magnificently.
With these changes and updates they made the Speed a truly magnificent car for the $$.
I did order one for this Fall delivery....

I've always loved the GT, here in the Chicago North Shore you see them every day... This morning was "back to school" for the kids, as I drove my son to school, I see the "soccer mom" loading up 2 five yr olds into the GT...
Lux for price, I agree definetly refined. Quattroporte comes close in interior lux as well in looks... Unfortunately I see the GT too common in affluent metro areas...

We have tuned allot of them. That motor responds very well to ECU work.
All of the owners that we have done their Bentleys for have said that the car is very reliable. If they were performance oriented at all, they thought that the suspension was a bit soft. The ones that I have driven, pre and post tuning are very fast, but definitely not a back road carver!

I hear Renntech is tuning Bentleys now...........
But it is a big, heavy car. I say get a Maser Quattroporte, with the new auto box. Sexier looks, and not nearly as common, and an engine that just sounds godly.

But my dad's a CPA! And yeah, you're definitely right. Someone's wife driving a CGT makes me feel sick. Sounds completely pointless, and a total waste of money. I think the point in getting one is to show off, and nothing else.

Why is that?
You don't know anyone's situation,so why this idiotic statement?
Are you saying that a woman has no right to drive a very practical, safe, roomy sedan with AWD to boot, that happens to be priced just a bit more then regular S600 (less then S65) if she can easily afford it?
Do you think that only you can appreciate such car ,more then a woman can?
What if she made in her life more then you ever can,if she happen to be better trained driver then you ever can?
Again, you know nothing about anyone's situation,so keep your dumb and sexists comments to yourself.

Haha, I see a fair share of both...young girls (I'm talking mid to late 20s) and the older (40s) folks of both genders. For some reasons, besides rap videos, I never see young guys in GTs...it's usually some sort of Porsche .

One of those must be my wife before... haha.. mid 20's asian girl 5'2...haha barely able to see over the dashboard... Unless the wife likes the GT looks.. skip it and go straight for a exotic....

You have a few decent cars that your parents probably bought for you.
You're well off because of your parents, so maybe have some respect for someone who earned it.
If Absent and his wife can afford to have a Bentley as their family "beater" so to speak, more power to them. I think its an awesome car. I especially love the brown interior with the burlwood. I had to get a similar interior on my S500 cause I liked it so much.

I don't understand how this thread got on the haterade...douchiness?
This is an old thread, and got some negative comments on someone who asked some questions about a car? I thought this was what this forum was for? To discuss and help others... Am I missing something?
