Good price on the car, but the lease rates are nothing special. The interest rate is 8.52%

yea, that is the MB standard rate right now... they're doing the special on the 39 month lease with the 36 month residual... i tried us bank for 39 months and 36 months and even though the money factor was lower (0.00237), the residual was lower which caused the monthly payments to be almost $1798.

It's a finance or cash purchase. Leasing with such a high interest rate makes it an "okay" deal.

About two years ago, MB Financial was offering a killer lease deal on E55's . With the car market being soft, I would wait it out.

Payment includes taxes...assuming 8% tax rate, I think the interest rate is more like 6.74 or so

if u want a better deal try finding a used 55. Right now with banks not doing so well, I wouldn't expect much better. If you like the car, I think its a great deal. I gave much more down and i'm paying 1515.00/mth

If I would of been offered that deal I would of jumped on it!

My 2 cents!

Actually, you will find that leasing the 63's are a better option, especially if you like trading cars every few years...unfortunately they depreciate a little more than the normal models...but they are fun to drive while you own them

effectively , if and when I do a buy-at-end-of-lease, compiled with the tax write offs, it will be cheaper than if i had bought it

my credit union (usc) gives me 6.24% for 60 months, doing all the figures on an excel spreadsheet, it still came out more $$$

You can get that lease but IMO, the best days will be the first day and the last day. (well you may enjoy it more than just the first day- figure of speech)

You wont be able to get out of it because of the over inflated residual all the while paying a money factor that is way too high.

If you are in love with the car and dont mind keeping it to term- its not too bad of a deal.

got the figures for the used one... can someone advise me whether 6536 miles is worth the risk of buying a used ? (like if the guy has hammered it). it has a clean carfax.

used 2007 cls63 prktrnic,trunkcloser,p2
the residual is $34,000.
payments are 1440+tax with 6k down.

You take the money factor and multiply by 2400. That gives you the interest rate on the lease.
