CLS63 Defeats Ferraris! *Video*
The past two weekends have been extremely fun-filled thanks to an invitation to have some of my cars recorded for the new upcoming movie of Speedracer.
I had my Carrera GT out last weekend and was asked to bring my F40 this weekend. Unfortunately, my F40 was in for service and was not completed in time for this weekend's event. Not wishing to miss the action I decided to bring my CLS63 to see if I could have some fun in anyway (for some reason they didn't need any sound bites of my CLS! )
The first video was a drag race with a Noble (500hp and 2300 pounds!), a Challenge Stradale, and a 355. As expected the Noble was in a class by itself, however, the CLS was dominant against the Ferraris! Being a Ferrari guy myself (and also owning a Stradale) I was rather surprised that the Stradale did not pull on the CLS. My friend in the Stradale said he got a bad start but once underway he could not pull on the CLS!
The third video has a couple of fly bys as well as some fun donuts (I think I need some new tires!). All in good fun!

Juicee63 - Thanks! Had alot of fun! Have not taken the car to the drag strip but may do so one of these days. The car only has a few mods - a x pipe in place of the resonators and the Renntech lowering module. I love the car but don't drive it that often. After today I have new found respect for it!
FreshBenz - Yes. I realized that the last take just before heading in was sans my seatbelt! I had it on the rest of the time but I had jumped out of the car to look at something and jumped back in with the intention of heading back in but decided to do a couple of donuts first!
I will post some pics of my car tomorrow!

Glad everyone enjoyed the videos!
As I mentioned it was a private sound recording session for the upcoming movie "SpeedRacer" and they allowed us to "play around" during the breaks when they were transfering microphones from car to car. They basically let us use the runway as an open playing field ... lots of fun! I did ask about the cost to rent the runway and it was rather staggering. Something like $2500 a day plus $2000 insurance! Yikes!! Movie companies can afford that. Most private gigs can't.

Lotus Elise SLK55
This is not surprising. Ferrari 360 is fairly slow, they usually run high 12's at the 1/4 mile. 355, on the other hand, is not even worth competing against since its a mid-high 13 second car at best. Why weren't there newer Ferrari's and Lambo's? F430 or 06 Gallardo would've probably beat CLS63 in that race.

the 360 in stock form has run 12.2 @113.50 in the 1/4 mile so beating one by the margin in the vid is impressive to me. A 63 also can be a high 12 second car it is quite a bit heavier as well

I just have the x pipe. After installing the x pipe I was actually disappointed that the car was not a bit louder (throatier). Vadim told me to have someone else drive the car and have me stand on the side of the road. Now I don't have to do that! The car sounds like a locomotive! I'm sure the headers would even add more grunt!
