Foid in mirror kit?

Anyone know if there is a kit for fold in mirrors for the 55?

Yes it can be done, I had it done. The parts are the same as used on the S Class mirrors and the computer just has to be programmed at the dealer to recognize folding mirrors.

209/W210 Estate /W211 modded by MBENZNL
The Power Folding mirrors require a Different motor assy inside each mirror and a replacement mirror switch...And Version code the car via the SDS

Steve @MBENZNL.com did mine on the W211 and the 209

I Did the W203/209/210/211 and Yes Its worth it...

Great for parking in tight spaces..

Also its good to have them fold in so people walking by dont bump and damage the mirror

They are neat. You can set them to auto fold when you lock the doors. In that mode, you can always see when your doors are locked. This is a standard option on all other expensive Mercedes, and is made on the CLS in Europe. I don't understand why MBUSA does not elect to have this feature for America.

Yeah that is weird they don't have them on the CLS63. The M5 and 6 do. Damn It!!!

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
I know I would certainly use this feature if I had it. Not just when going out but in my own garage as well.

However this is one of those things that's very useful for some and utterly useless for others.
