2007 CLS63 AMG
new owner and member
I bought a 2007 CLS 63 2 weeks ago..Loving it so far. Its not quite as fun to drive as the 2005 997 S cab i sold - but atleast I get to drive it more often (wife and baby)
What does everyone recommend for a more aggressive exhaust without pissing off the neighborhood?
thanks!

Make sure you use a SS tubing for the delete and price varies dependant on shop $45-$100. Try this first then if not satisfied remove one set of cats...if still not satisfied then 100 cell race cats to replace other set of cats if still not satified then buy an aftermarket muffler but thats out of my league especially for your car...

Where are you located. There is a slew of new products coming out for the 63. Car looks good.
You can take it to any muffler shop and take out the resonator.
The Renntech Mufflers sound slightly betterand are lighter so you get a bit of a performance bump.
I dont think AMG has an upgrade so I doubt the dealer would mess with "modding" unless you could order the parts from Mercedes direct.
Congrats,
CLS is the best of both worlds, comfort and performance and looks.

For us who do the RES delete I am told that the Stealership could have the muffler warranty voided so I would steer clear of the Stealership.
Then again maybe you shouldn't risk your muffler warranty unless you and the SA at the Stealership are friends thus he/she won't report you...

Honestly don't know if this is a DIY since cutting and welding is involved....I say go to your local muffler shops. On youtube there are sound and video clips of a RES delete on C32s maybe you can find one for your CLS
