High rate of oil consumption!

High rate of oil consumption!
Hey guys, over the last 2,000 miles my car has been burning oil at a rate of 2 to 2 1/2 quarts every 500 to 700 miles. I brought the car in to have an oil consumption test performed. Does anyone have any experience with this issue? I can understand burning about a quart of oil every 1,000 miles b/c of the 63 motor, but over 2 quarts in less than 1,000 miles is a bit off in my opinion. Any advice, info, help, feedback is greatly appreciated guys!! What should be the correct oil consumption per 1,000 miles???

Is the 1qt per 1000 miles the average consumption of the supercharged CLS55 motor? Just want to ensure my AMG doesn't have a problem. I'm going through a quart every 1000 miles. Car has 71000 miles on it and runs perfect. No oil leaks so I know it's a consumption thing.

Ive got 96k on mine and I put a quart in about 1700 miles ago and its telling me that I should put another quart in to reach max level.
Runs like a beast, so I guess its normal? Just carry a quart around with you in the trunk.
