Adding a new toy to the 360 Forged stable! Opinions please
I'm itching for a new car! I really don't want to get rid of my 63 yet, mainly because I'm so upside down on the lease - so what do you guys think:
'07 S65 (Baby mobile / 700 horse daily driver)
'08 CL63 - slower but soooo PIMP! Baby seat is tight though...
Help me out guys, this is a tough one - there's 1 of each ready for me to pick up, both black. I'm undecided, honestly the S65 makes more sense, but it just doesn't give me a chubby like the CL63...

I would take the S65 in a heartbeat. I personally wouldn't want the same exact engine in my new car. Your just paying for a new body and half the fun is being able to experience a new engine. Did you consider a Bentley Continental GT?

Hmmm, keepin the CLS63 and adding an S65? Must be nice to be a dope dealer man, WTF!!!? Seriously? Good for you bro, good for you. Although I'm never one to give financial advice, but a lot of cheap real estate can be bought for the price of an S65 these days.

S65 all the way!!! It is more practical for the family. I think there are much better coupes at that price range... if u have a family, s65 is just a best all around cruiser....

damn you guys are making my decision harder! Ultimately the CL65 is my first choice, but to be honest, my budget is $150k on this car, and the CL65's are still around $170k. I've got too many cars under my credit and I can't approved for more than $150k unless I get rid of a car.
It's true the s65 is a bad boy! I drove it the other day, what a monster! Thanks for all the input guys, I guess you'll find out soon what I decided on...Maybe I'll just shell out the extra $20k on the cl65.
I'll be selling my 997t at the end of the year too, hoping to get a 430 or new LP550 if the price comes under $200k. Doubt it though.

Good point. I considered the BGT, but here in Miami they're everywhere - they remind me of Miami mortgage brokers for some reason...I looked at a flying Spur, it's amazing how much they've depreciated, you can pick one up for $120k! A little too pretentious for me though. Wife liked it, but I would feel like a snobby dude.

I would personally get a S65. The CL is nice but probably won't be practical with a kid. Sounds like you are already looking for a coupe later in year already so a sedan might be better for now.

Since you already have a 63 engine, I'd do an S65 or CL65. But if it was me spending $170k, I'd pop for an F430. They've been coming down in price and you can probably scoop one up in the $170's if you try hard enough.
You mention you are buying on credit. Do you lease your cars or purchase? Reason I ask is because I have been tempted to lease my next toy and wanted to know people's experience with leasing cars of this price level.
Miami is a different world, obviously. Around here, brokers drive minivans, lol.

Another benefit to leasing is that, it looks better on your credit report(profile) because it doesn't show you paying or borrowing the whole amount. It only shows your debt on that particular car as the total dollar amount you will pay over the course of your lease. Example $1200.00x36=$43200 -vs- you borrowing $150,000. It just shows that you have lower debt ratio leasing -vs- financing. Just my opinion.

I would personally lease whatever you decide to do Jordan. You still have the option of buying it out at the end of the lease by refinancing or paying off in cash. Put it in your company name with you as the guarantor, so you can have the tax writeoff. 80% of your monthly payment plus mileage write-off on your taxes.

I do write them off, or at least a good portion of them, as they are mainly used as advertising / promotional vehicles.= for the company.
If I could get into a 24 month lease it would be great!!!!!! That would be my first option.

Good point, only problem is the fact that I like to get rid of cars within a year or so, and when leasing these expensive cars you tend to be majorly upside down if you turn it in early...At least that is the case with my CLS63. I bought my 997tt and I can sell it any time and walk away, just pay off the difference.

If you're going through cars every year or so, you BETTER LEASE. You will come out better than on a buy because your only choice on a buy is to trade it in or sell it yourself. It doesn't matter if you lease or buy, you're going to be upside down regardless the first two to three years of ownership. At least with a lease, you can customize your lease to get out anytime you want. Don't forget the other benefits.

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
Wow good for you....
CLS63/ 997Turbo / w possible CL63/S65 to be added-
and a F430/new Gallardo in the Future!
Get the V12 motor now (S65 or even CL65) and when done w 997 get new Gallardo (LP560-4)...... Kindof a silly game with "market price" and "over sticker" Ferraris if you ask me......
Lucky you, congratulations!
