My bumper was damaged from hitting an unavoidable animal a few days ago and I am wondering if the amount insurance is going to pay can be used towards a Brabus Rocket front bumper. The estimate from the MB body shop came out to be around $2400 to replace the oem bumper and grille. A friend of mine rear ended a car years ago in his Yukon and he used the insurance money towards an Escalade front end conversion. So it has been done. Not sure if its still possible today.

Yes, just have them write you the check to get the work done at a body shop of your choice. That way you can buy the parts. I've done it before. When a guy hit my car I spoke to his agent over the phone, who asked me about the front bumper to my ML. I mentioned that it had a WALD front bumper. He then googled it to get a price range, then he cut me a check. Simple huh

does the new bumper you want use fog lights? I claimed cracked fog lights since i'm going with the brabus front end....helped pay for the new bumper!!
