need value of 06 CLS 55 18,000 miles

Hi everyone. I am new here. Looking at a 2006 CLS 55 with 18,000 miles. Extra nice car. Silver, Black, most all options. Dealer wants $ 52,000.00 ?
Any advice on the value or what I should offer ? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the advise. The car is a cpo and the dealer caller and dropped the price to $ 50,900.00. They turned down my $ 47,000.00 offer. Its not so much the money, but it seems as if the prices are comming down so why not look around some. B of A just announced 23,000 job cuts and news like that happen everyday. I was offered a 07 CLS 63 for
$ 53,500.00 today, but it was 2000 miles away and I will in no way buy a car without seeing it. Some people are just liars about condtion. Good luck on the hunt for yours.

yeah if your in no rush its best to take your time... im also flirting back and forth between the 55 and 63 im on the edge... I really like turbo cars driven then most my life so supercharged is closest thing i like the TQ and the whip lash but ive seen also 63's going for around +3 to 4k more than the 55 and a newer year and i know this next purchase im going to keep for another 3 year minimum maybe 4.. unlike ususally its been 18- 23 months if luck with a car. I know the newer year will help me in the long run with re-sale and also i know the 63 is fast enough as it is so im still on the fence because i want to make sure i buy the right 1 since im commiting to it for atleast 3 yrs.

Curious: which MB dealer has this car? You said the asking price is $52K for a CPO? Friend of mine is looking (likes my new toy )....please let me know.

I am going down to buy it this morning. Your friend should be able to find one. They are around.

As I said, I did a search of all CPO CLS55s nationwide with less than 20k miles at MBUSA last night after reading this. Five came up, and of those, one was in this ballpark ($55.9K as I recall), the next was $59.xK, and then they went up into the $60's.

Which is why I was enquiring. It sounded like you may have been wanting to pass on the car, which obviously was not the case.

Would you mind posting the dealer? If they are pricing their CPOs this agressively, I'd like to have them as a reference for Mike...you can PM me with it if you like.

Congratulations on the car, and enjoy it. Post some pics!

In reference to the thread I created regarding an 06 CLS55 AMG with 24K, the dealer keeps saying that 52K is the best he'd do but wants me to come in only at the time my lease is up. I still have a few months to go so I'll need to be patient as stated by a number of members on this forum...

I have no idea what these cars are going for. I walked out on the dealer yesterday and they called me this morning and offered me the car at $ 49,500.00. If I don't buy the car I will let everyone know where the car is. It is a nice car , cpo, 26 more months left on the warr. I have no idea why I hit a wall when its time to write the check. I perfer to buy a car out of the garage of the original owner and see how it is taken care of. I know I don't like the front lic. plate, however it is req. here and they do write tickets for that. I am just on the fence, what can I say.

Very few MB original owners sell as private party. That's because of the social-econs of MB owners. Why hassle the bother of private party resells?

Just to let you know, here is So Cal there are private party sellers that are really backyard used car dealers. They disguise themselves very well hiding being a nice house and the reason for the sell (wife wants a new car or something like that). In reality, they buy some beat ups from the wholesaler, put cheap tires on it with a car wash polish and sell it at top $$. The buyer walks away with a smile that he got a great car from an old lady. Not the case. Buyer beware. This is the number one reason to pay the xtra $$ and get a CPO. CPO are the best of the best.

Buy new

SF Chronicle had an ad in it this morning for Fletcher Jones Mercedes for $30,000 off sticker for new left over 2008 E63s and CLS63s.

I called - it is legit.

I would like to thank everyone for the help with the purchase of my CLS 55 AMG. Picked it up today. What a car ! 99.9% perfect. Not even 1 mark on the door sils. If a person can afford one of these rockets and does not own one, they are crazy. WOW. Told my wife I was going to sleep in it tonight. lol. Made the deal at Smythe European Mercedes in San Jose Calif. with Ali Habibvand and Tony Spencer. They were great even with me screwing them around on the price over 4 days. It did work. $ 49,000.00 18,000 miles, CPO, Silver, Black, Parktronic, lighting package, Premium Package, Trunk closer, Keyless go, Nav, ect...26 more month of warranty...Thanks again everyone. bob
