Just an fyi, I changed my bumper lights yesterday and the drivers side was so easy going thru the front foglight area, the passenger one had some sort of air intake that prevented me to access the bumer light, so i was forced to take the fog light out, it was soo easy, just 4 screws, and it just fell inside the front bumper, i could have easily taken it out from there i think, seemed pretty easy to me

what are the bumper lights?
im assuming u mean the fog lights but im just asking to make sure.
so basically unscrew the fog light housing from the front and then u can change the bulbs?
thanks for the info!

The fog light doesnt come out the front it goes back and needs tobe handeled from the opening on the right....im a terrible explainer of these things, but trust me once you undo those 4 screws you can easily access the foglight...

just completed my install of my new fog lights. total time was approx 25mins. first side took most of the time as I was trying to figure out the best way to do it. total of 7 screws, and unplug 1 socket, and 2 power wire connection to the bulb. removing the old lights by lifting the plastic under the car. Now i need to purchase new plastic housing around it as the picture above... finally again, no craks or broken fog lights.... I have been driving around with my broken light for over 6 months... how embrassing, and Mercedes try to get me to replace it many times on each service, but $350 per side, $700 total seems a bit high...and being in SoCal, we never see fogs or even used my fog light.... plus this is my daily beater.. So I ended up buying the parts on Ebay, for $175 pair.... labor was free by myself... with minor cuts on my hand from broken glass, but I am glad I finally took care of it... !!!!

[QUOTE=blackcls63;3412990]Yes! you can change the lights simply unscrewing (3 screws) the front grill
i did an HID install through the front
How did you disconnect the wires? Do you just pull the housing straight out?

[QUOTE=Ak63;3413645]No, once you unscrew the light, it falls back inside the bumper. than reach your hand inside, you will see a power plug connection. squeeze the side than pull... it will come right out...

thanks so much for the DIY.
whats up with using a zip tie to hold down that rubber guard? lol
i guess i better have some extra black zip ties before attempting this right?

The Zip ties just ensure the rubber protector wont fall out from the fog light unit. I didnt have long zip ties so i use 2 short ones and connected to each other, ensure it was tight and move on.... too lazy to drive to the store and back...
