want to modify a cls amg - opinions
Hey there,
I've decided to take the plunge and get a CLS amg to join my 07 S class LWB (too big for everyday use)
From what I've been hearing, the 55 engine is better and can be modded a bit more than the 63, so will probably go for the 55 (I'm not buying brand new.)
As, this will kind of be like a 2nd car; I want to have some fun and mod it a little (particularly the looks at first) I don't know much about this area and was wondering if I could get opinions.
1. I am going to get it wrapped in a matt black finish (think batmobile). Saw one in london and it looked amazing.
2. get the stock alloys powdercoated to black
3. change calipers, maybe red.
4. tints
However, one thing I do not totally love with the cls amg is the front bumper; I do not think it looks as agressive as any of the other AMG models. I have seen the brabus rocket and the front bumper is totally different, is it possible to buy one like that (ie with missing foglights)

Another way to make it look more aggresive from the front is to add on a front spoiler - ie carbon fibre spoiler that goes on underneath the front bumper. If i do this, I can also get my sideskirts and perhaps rear fender done in carbon fibre too. Think this would look ok or is it too much?
Cheers

Jikjak, yeah; I've never had a "fast" car like an AMG before so I think the standard power will be more than enough for me at first.
newguycls55, stop being such a tit. I'm looking for opinions due to my limited modding experience.

i think the brabus front spoiler is so ugly, just my opinion of course.... ![Puke](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/puke.gif)
had mine for over 3 1/2 years now and i'm still not tired of the look. the cls lines are smooth, and adding that cheesy "vacuum" look to the front end just kills it. the center grill looks fine, however the two side looks like you can suck a 20lb turkey right through it.
stock spoiler with cf!

I have the brabus set. I wasn't a fan of the front bumper at first until I laid out all the things that I wanted done (including wheels). All together I think the brabus front is able to give the CLS a 'meaner' look while keeping some sweet lines.....I only liked it in black too.
Guess I was inspired by the DCshoes CLS55 which it sounds like you are too. Good luck...I'm about 90% done with what I want done exterior-wise myself.

I believe that there are three companies who makes the front spoilers for cls amg. (eurotek, carlsson. and kleeman) I am actually planning on putting on the kleeman one on my cls. I think it looks the best without looking like it has been added on. What do u guys think? Here are some pictures that I got from Corey at kleeman.

I think the Brabus front bumper looks sweet. I also like the huge air duct - looks like the Porsche 911 front end. The only thing Idislike is the grill, it just seem like it is missing something in the center, seem to flat, but most people in this forum like that look. Best of luck.
