CLS63 performance upgrades
Bone stock CLS63... What would you all recommend to give it some more off the line throw you in the back of seat power (torque)...
Where would you start and how much are we talking... ?
Also as you are sitting parked and you are reving the engine so your buddies can hear the exhaust, it only allows me to push down in one motion, meaning that you can pull multi tone rev, like on a motorcycle, do you all know what I mean? is this normal

For a WOW effect go with a sprint booster
No Hp gains but you will think you just added 100HP
It's cheap and very easy to install.. It will through you back in the seat
BEWARE OF THE MODAHOLICS You'll know what I mean in about a month or two...

Yeah! Watch out for those darn modaholics, because your CLS must look like every other CLS on the road.
Damn those modaholics. They will come through your bedroom window and ****** your soul.

For the 63, the only 2 things that have proven to add power so far are:
1) ECU Tune
2) Headers
Expect about 40 to 45 whp increase from the above two mods. Right now only shorty headers are available, but I believe a couple of companies are about to release long tube headers, which would need a more aggressive tune but should net you an extra 20 whp.
There are exhaust "mods" available, but mainly for sound and looks: x-pipe, sport mufflers, 3" piping, etc....

I've heard of the different mods for the exhaust, I really dont want to mess with that. I rather mess with the computer or pulleys etc... Everytime I've messed with factory exhaust, I've always thought that I made a mistake, bc you start hearing a listen hissing when you are nest to a wall (like at the drive thru). Granted this might be normal, I just hate it.
So what I take from the response here are
1. ECU tune
2. Sprint booster
Guys I don't want to sound like an idiot here, but could you all possibly give me brand names (model number) and a direction to go... thanks

I was in the process of buying a CLS55, and I was 75% done with the transaction before I came across a CLS63 that I like better for a little bit more. So I went with the CLS63.
I came from a slight automotive background, but stuff like Mustangs... nothing like a AMG engine. Its been like 6 to 7 years since I've modded anything on a enigne. I've done wheels, body kits, etc...
Since this is my first real beast, I want to do it right, with the right direction... I don't want to take something classy, and make is trashy. Therefore the upgrades I'm looking at are:
1. Lorinser roof spoiler
2. Light tint on the rear taillights
3. Amg door sills
4. Maybe a chip (depends on cost and hp improvement)
5. Maybe a intake upgrade (K&N, etc.. )
I've tried to find some reviews and possible upgrades on the net, but they have been hard to come across, so I figured I would ask individuals on here for some direction.
