Being tempted to this RS6
So I have always had a soft spot for the RS cars and enjoy a spin in my brothers RS4 most weekends. I been keeping my eye on the used RS6 market and finally this has turned up...maybe i just need someone to talk some sense to me, it is the wrong time to buy? The audi is on at £57000 GBP, 2008 car with 8000 miles. As for the CLS, who knows what it worth

Do it, the RS6 is a great car and if you've got a family and dog the avant/wagon/estate can't be beat. Nice 18,000GBP saving from new and I bet they'll go another couple of grand lower too.
I had a deposit down for the 09 RS6 sedan/saloon but Audi, unlike the GenI V8 RS6, never ended up bringing it Stateside. Ended up getting the M so no real shame but there is something about the ultra-rarity of RS-cars.
It won't handle quite as well as the RS4 as it's so heavy (over 2 tons) but it'll whoop it in a straightline. It'll also deploy its power far more effectively on wet British B-roads than your 55k.

Dealer just called and first offer for my CLS was 28k and they dont want the 09 wheels, mirrors, grille and Renntech ELM so it was not as bad I thought. I will investigate the C class trade in now and see whats what..

Thats is exactly what I am thinking, I recently sold my RRS so now we have the 55k, a w204 C300 and a VW van for the dog. I ditched the RS6 idea and today ordered a black edition GTR, getting it for the start of July! Only sore part is the C300 sport I am looking to sell. The dealer offered me 12k GBP, just over 18k $ 
, considering its a fully loaded May 07 with 23k on the clock, i really hope I get more than that privately. Good news is the CLS gets to stay, the wife takes over its day to day driving .

, You buy a car from them today for 40k you come back tomorrow they want to give you 20k. What a ripp off...

I have dug a little deeper and apparently they are booking 5-6k GBP below normal trade to allow for stock sitting, I'm going to advertise it for 18k, around 27k$ and see if I get any takers.
