Sears used to sell an attachment that would bite into the wheel locks to remove them, in case the owner lost the "key"

It takes nothing more than an extra $10 and 15 seconds to get them off.

CLS55 plus a few Ducati's
Sorry to hear about this. Have been to the Back Bay many times and while it is a very expensive area it is also very open. I am surprised nobody saw anything. Will keep an eye out. Check Craigs List everyday.

Dude that is horrible! Hurts to see an AMG sitting so low. As a victim of both car break-ins and a recent home burglary I am often on high alert for little *****es that see a nice car/nice neighborhood and think they can go to town on MY *****! I have gotten over the revenge portion but God as my witness if I ever see a crime like this taking place I wouldn't hesistate to take the law into my own hands.. I firmly believe if Texas Tactics are used throughout the entire USA this crap wouldn't happen nearly as often as it does. Best of luck with the repairs!

the other day I was walking back to my crib on Park Ave. and saw a bike just laying on it's side. My doorman told me bunch of knuckle heads knocked it down. I went to pick it up. fairings were fine, but the side mirror was broken. it amazes me how evil people could be.

New wheels will be arriving in Boston this week. Anyone have suggestions for some wheels locks to put on? Debating sleeping in it with a .45, but that's really not a long term solution.

Come to a RED state and f*ck with someones car.... Neighbors like Joe Horn have each others back. Right or wrong this goes thru the robbers mind.

The liberals in the country will have us all unarmed if they have it there way, then robbers will have a field day.

If you shot someone on the street for breaking into your car you are charged with murder. Very rarely do gun owners get to shoot folks stealing rims.

Should the culprits be killed , nah but definately be beaten or a hand or leg chopped off.

This is why we have insurance. Be thankful they left the car, did not steal your child, or cause you physical harm.

The wheel locks/lug nuts are recessed into the hub. But one can weld a nut on the wheel locks and then removed easily.

In the attempted thefts I would say 99.9% would be averted due to locking wheel lugs.

On another note, one does not care due to auto insurance.

Actually, if it is night time and it's on your property then the criminal better think twice. Murder charges no... but civil liability yes, that is the only thing you might lose.

I'm not saying shooting someone is ok because they are stealing your rims, but some gun owners will take things into there own hands if they fear for the family and property. And dead robbers have a hard time making a case.

You can get a set at your dealer You also might want to get a FM Trasmitter alarm. I am not sure how easy one would be to install, but it might be able to be done. Then you would get the alert in your house when someone touches your car. I would also get a long range tazer or some peper spray. That way you can put him down without getting in trouble and be able to have him arrested. Hopefully they wouldn't be stupid enough to rob the same person, but if they are at least you will be ready.

they had to put something under the car to get their jack out. You can't just yank the jack and the car will hit the ground like in the cartoons.. lol

THis sucks, really sad ****. But really look, wheel locks aint gonna do ****, they will STILL take your wheels it will just take them about 2 minutes more thats about it. Also, with the economy how it is, no matter how good your hood is, you should consider parking the car in a garage or closed driveway, but if you live in an apartment nothin you can do i guess. Chances are it will happen again, and by trying to find them then what? What are you going to prove? Those wheels are probably long gone and sold, nothng you can do about it, even if you find those ****ers. Good luck to you!
