Where to buy? Best deal on K&N's for the 55?
Title pretty much says it all. Where's the best price/deal to buy the right sized K&N's for the 55K ?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Autozone and Advance Auto usually carry alot of K&N filters. Easiest way is just call them up and they can lookup your car in the system to see if they have it in stock. Also search the web, I think there was an Autozone 20% friends and family coupon circulating for now-july4th

Pep Boys all day. If memory serves correct, about $62 for both.

Yes way. The part number is: 33-2181 and I bought 4 of them at $37.99 a piece, at the time I bought them it was buy one get one that weekend so the bill was even lower.
Regular cost: 38*2= $76.
On the web you can find these for about $42-46 a piece free shipping if you don't want to bother going to the store.

They're so oversized and redundant (2 oversized filters ... one I'd bet would do the trick fine with larger intake tube)
I took mine out and blasted them clean with compressed air.
What you'll lose is the level of safety you get with factory filtration.
Try my simple mod and I'll bet you get more of a performance upgrade. https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...t-results.html

Looking at the stock set of filters , I have a hard time believing they improve anything other than longevity of performance. Keep the stock filters clean and you won't have any difference in performance IMO.

I'm using the stock set up with the intakes just behind the grill. Definitely drawing cooler air then the engine compartment air.
