335i (Jb3 tune) vs Stock CLS55
You needed to lose about 300 lbs of that human cargo, then you win!
Just my opinion ... but I think the guys attempt in the CLS was WEAK.
And like I said ... with mine, traction control on, you drop the hammer on it at 5mph and it's like you got stuck in the mud.
Traction control off , she screams like a bat out of hell and scares women and children for miles.

Parents love when they can say they gave their kid a BMW. Men get pride when he tells his friends he gave his wife one for her birthday.

Hey TurboTom,
I see you live on Long Island, would you want to set up some friendly runs to see what "a girl" car can do to your CLS55?? Maybe you will be pictured as a grandmother on video after i am done with you.
The CLS55 030's according to my specs weighs in at approximately 4100lbs and it had a 180lb driver.
BMW - 10.85 lbs per ftlb
MB - 8.29 lbs per ftlb
HUGE advantage MB CLS55. Sorry.
I'd love to see the torque curve.
Hard for me to believe the torque comes on as low an rpm as the 55Kompressor's too. Small motors don't make low end torque like that without forced induction like that from a SC.
Yes I know it's turbocharged ... which usually means some turbolag too and definitely not the kind of torque you induce from a supercharger.
At any rate ... I'm not saying it's not a fast car.
I'm saying the CLS driver was weak ... from what I could see.

There didnt seem to be any ESP intervention from his launch at all, a small chirp and he was gripping!?
Would just like to hear your view on this, since i thought we bought got off pretty good for our cars power, and overall was a GREAT race.
On Jb3 1.3(newest version which has alot more power) on a high boost map on 93 octane which i run, i can make as much as 370WHP by 3k rpm.
Here is a dyno comparison of Jb3 1.2 vs 1.3, but you can see what kinda power/tq the 1.3 is making,
This member made 400 ft lb to the wheels by 2,800 rpms.

It is what it is, and i have run a couple fast cars, i know this might shock you, a 335i hung and was about to beat a cls55 but it almost happened. I pull on M5's, i thought the result here were expected, at least for me anyways.
It was just for fun and the driver of the CLS55 was a kool guy and good sport...

or proper TT Turbo applications for that matter, talk about living in a bubble. Open your eyes & close your mouth/keyboard. You're mistakenly comparing the high revving N/A M3 power band for I-6 TT 335i
335i TQ band comes in even sooner than your precious SC'er, as well as stays in peak tq band longer. IE can come in @ 2000-5500+RPM's
The 55 Kompressor peak TQ arrives @ 2500-5000+ You're in need of serious remedial TT/Supercharger info...

Just ordered my MODs and once installed in a couple of weeks, I will be looking forward to see how effective they were before hitting the track.

I for one have built quite a few 135/335/535's and they can be extremely powerful cars with the right mods. The JB3 is in a class by itself for the power levels that are found with the right mapping.

Now if only BMW can keep these cars from eating themselves up(stock or modded).

MOUTHS SHUT..........CARS RUN............WINNER GLOATS!

Friendly racing on the streets.........JUST STUPID!

Take it to E-town on Wednesday nights. $28 FOR 3 RUNS.
i wish we could have a go at it but i guess we obviously live too far away. im betting that your 335 is much faster than the one my friend had. there are quite a few highly modded 335s locally and ill try to get them to come out next time.
anyways there is no need for anyone to get all worked up. anything can happen in a race, especially on the streets. sometimes people can take losing too personally, its really not a big deal to lose! either way its just a short race and u cant win them all. as car enthusiasts i feel that we do this to have some fun and to see how different cars measure up to each other. i find that to be very interesting, also losing is a good thing, thats what motivates me to do more modding, which causes me to have even more fun with my car.
hahaha, Kyle you just made my night
