CLS55 vs M3 550hp turbo at Internation Drag ...

I don't know what the CLS55 driver has done, but it sure can't be stock
M3 driver gets the jump on the CLS.

CLS clears the 1/4 with a 10.8 @ 128mph.

M3 clears the 1/4 with an 11.2 @ 119mph.

Sadly this is a complete fabrication.
If you look at the video the wall says LACR.
That stands for Los Angeles County Raceway located in Palmdale. There is no way in a million years either car posted those times.
Whoever posted the video lied about the times, sad indeed

LACR is located at 3000 feet above sea level. It was a fun place but for street cars not a place you could run quick.
The person who posted the video lied about where the run took place, they lied about the times.
Can you read the scoreboard? not possible @lacr

Still, depending on what the car's had done to it, I could see a 10.8 being possible.
Could it be the car itself is modified by Drag International Inc???
They've got some pretty mean stuff from what I've seen.
How bout a 1019 whp Toyota Supra

you can hear the announcer say the real time "thirteen"
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I also believe a 11.2 @ 119 would indeed need a very very stout launch (I would guess mid to high 1.5's) and that M3 is far from it. Could anyone see the scoreboard clearly?

This was a 13.xx second pass at 103.66 for the CLS and this car won. Watch the original vid and pause and zoom on the time.
You can also search this CLS forum for the above mentioned member.
I have no idea who the clown was that edited the original vid to show a 10.8 LOL, gotta edit the LACR sign to fool me

What's the point of making that up.
It would need be in perfect weather, with some monster mods. Stage 5 with an experienced driver
This goes back to the discussion about track elevation and the effects on HP.
It would take 800 hp to the wheels at LACR to possibly hit 128 mph at 10.8
HUGE advantage MB CLS55. Sorry.
I'd love to see the torque curve.
Hard for me to believe the torque comes on as low an rpm as the 55Kompressor's too. Small motors don't make low end torque like that without forced induction like that from a SC.
Yes I know it's turbocharged ... which usually means some turbolag too and definitely not the kind of torque you induce from a supercharger.
335i TQ band comes in even sooner than your precious SC'er, as well as stays in peak tq band longer. IE can come in @ 2000-5500+RPM's
The 55 Kompressor peak TQ arrives @ 2500-5000+ You're in need of serious remedial TT/Supercharger info...
I would've let it go but your posts come off as "Mr. Know it all!" when clearly you're extremely confused, yet disseminate the info as credible fact makes your tech posts
laughing stock. As far as the CLS55 hitting 10.80, highly modded MUCH LIGHTER E55's have been trying for years & left w/basement 11's the ONLY current E55's in 10's are on 100-120+ wet shot's of NOS. Point being the added weight of CLS55 seperates it from this goal unless running Bottle + stg 5, it's impossible off NOS unless MAJOR weight reduction IE Stripped interior & Dymags was done plus stg 5 etc..

You can take whatever you want I've posted out of context all you like.
Just remember ... no one started ad hominem attacks except you.

One thing is true in the video the CLS 63 dispatched the M3, unfortunately that M3 failed to hook up , spinning badly and ran i a 14.14, you can watch the original vid and freeze the scoreboard, listen closely to the announcer , he says both times.
As frar as any M3 hitting 11.2 , maybe but not against this CLS, it was a good pass for a 63 at Palmdale and a terrible pass for the M3(in the video)
It would have be over 600hp, carbon fibered every piece of body panel, race seats, carbon fiber wheels and even then that would be a stretch.

Now lets find that CLS and run him down,,
