Going to the drag strip... NEED SOME TIPS

whats the best way to race the car down the 1/4...
is it best to have it in M or S..? best was to burn out? should I start in 2nd gear? also heard of putting it in Dyno mod, is that something I should do? I know alot of you guys do it different ways so let me know what worked for you...
car is a cls55 with sprint booster and 20" rims

I run in sport mode, suspension all the way up, tire pressure in front at max inflation, rear at 26PSI on street tires..

Go around the water box to keep from dragging water on your front tires. Then back up almost to the water box (damp area for street tires) and do a good long burn out( just medium smoke).. When ready to stop burn out, let off brake and roll out of the burn out .. Roll up to start line, then use left foot to hold brake and right foot to increase idle to 1000 rpm. Do not brake stall on the launch, just let off brake and punch it at the same time..

Keep fuel tank low and remove extra items in car. The cooler the air and higher the barometric , the faster you will run.. Good luck.

Hold it in, then step on the gas at the same time. Your RPMs should come up as the tires start to spin
mine wont spin. I have tried to do burn outs on the street by holding the brake and mashing the gas and nothing happens, I dont move and the wheels dont spin..

That is why you back up to the edge of the water box and get the tires a little damp. Then they will break loose and spin. This will get them hot and help them react with the chemicals they put down on the starting line (VHT). This just makes sure you will not spin.

If you spin, you are wasting time, rubber, engine stress and getting your best ET. ET is a terrible thing to waste..
