Got the car!... but, have one problem...

Everything is perfect expect for the fact that I get no radio reception! Nothing but static / fuzz, like I have no antenna... I still have the balance of the factory warranty left, so I'm sure I can get MB to take a look at it, but if it's something simple, I would rather just do it myself then have to leave my car with service and all....

With that said, anyone experience this or have any ideas where to start? Connections? Antenna? Locations? Any help and or advice would greatly be appreciated!

Thanks guys!

PS: The CD player, nav, and all that work perfectly, just no FM / AM (well almost nothing, maybe get one local station)....

Check the defroster on your rear window, it might be damaged. If it's not that, then take off the c-pillars and make sure that the wires that connect to the rear window are all there and intact.

Otherwise, just take it to dealer and let them deal with the headache.

Defroster wires all look good, no cuts, scrapes or tears. I'll pull the rear pillars off tomorrow afternoon and see if I can find anything loose or unplugged... Thanks for the heads up!

Did you even READ my post??? YES, the vehicle is still covered under the factory warranty, and YES I will take the car to MB if I have no choice, but if it's any easy fix, like maybe a loose connection somewhere, I would rather just fix it myself then have to drop it off for servicing...

This is why I'm asking if maybe anyone else here on the forum has had a similar problem, or could possibly point me in the right direction...

I'm sorry if I sound rude with my CAPS ON, but I don't think I could have made this post any clearer.

OK... great to see everyone's on the same page here... illiterate **** addiction!

Anyhow, back to the subject on hand... Dropped the car off at MB yesterday and they were able to confirm the radios antenna was bad. A new one was ordered and its being installed as we speak and yes it was covered under the warranty. I'll be picking it up later this afternoon.

While in the shop, I had them go over the entire car and see if it needed anything else. They were able to retrieve a fault code from the drivers side Dynamic seat control pad, so that too was replaced (warrantied).

As a precautionary maintenance procedure, they also swapped in a new IC pump and flushed out the entire system (warrantied).
