Question Extended warranty... Worth it or skip it?

With a few thousand miles left before my factory warranty runs out, I was just wondering what the rest of you are thinking or have implemented in terms of an extended warranty for your CLS55?

The best price I've been quoted thus far for a truly comprehensive "bumper to bumper" policy is right under $5270 for 3 years or 50,000 miles with a $500 deductible. I have not checked in with what MB offers, but my gut feeling is that it may be considerably more.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you guys paying, your term and through who?

Thanks in advance...

CLS55 plus a few Ducati's
Many will tell you that an extended warranty is well worth it in view of the many systems, sub systems and costly parts on the 55's. I paid $4200 for an MB CPO extended warranty 1 year ago taking me to 6 yrs 70,000 miles.

OK, here's what I got from MB direct...

2 years - 75K miles... $3900
3 years - 75K miles... $4450
2 years - 100K miles... $5950
3 years - 100K miles... $6995

How do these figures compare to what you guys have received or currently paying?

Ha... I got raped.

$5030 for 3 years - 36K miles.

I woke up this morning, took it right to service without calling or making an appointment, had my car in within 10minutes with 8 problems on the list. Also got a 2010 GLK350 as a loaner instantaneously, no questions asked.

Looking for CLS55 AMG
check out chrysler extended warranties. A lot of the SLxx amg guys use them and they seem to be a very good deal.
