Looking to get 06' CLS55, how much to certified?
I found a 2006 CLS55 AMG fully loaded...for $48k with 8k miles. Wondering how much does it cost to certified it? Is that a good deal?

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
Few things...
1. Yes, only the "selling" MB dealer can certify merchandise that is in his inventory. You can't just take it in and "get it certified". This doesn't mean that some MB dealers don't break the rules.
2. Not every 06 will qualify. Even though it has only 8k miles, it may still be out of warranty on time, although that is not the only criteria.
3. 48k is a buttload of money for any 06 CLS 55. Others are going to chime in and say it's not that high, etc. etc., I've seen them for more. Asking prices are one thing, real transactions for real $$ are another. Yes, your mileage may vary, but with 07 CLS 63's at not much more money, it is certainly no "deal".
4. If this is really the car for you, I'd investigate an aftermarket warrnanty from a reputable company. The MB certified program is OK, but certainly no bargain or panacea. Problem is, if it is in fact out of warranty, it's going to be tougher and more expensive to get.
Just my 02. Hope this helps.

If you look around you can find 07 CLS 63'S with 1-2 years of warranty left in the very low 50's. CLS55'S with some warranty left and under 20k for miles you should be low-mid 40's.
