Supercharged AMG 63
I've read that a bunch of different tuners along the way have tried piecing together a supercharger kit for the 63.
Anyone know what the major challenges that they ran into as to why they weren't successful? I'd imagine it was the electronics, fuel delivery, or transmission rather than the marketing answer of "there's not enough demand".
Just thought I'd see if anyone had any closer insight as to why it wasn't done. The block itself is built like a tank with a great crank, rods, and pistons and can easily take light boost, so that surely isn't it.

That's one of the reasons I decided to go the 55 route instead of the 63.

I think the slk55 is also hi compression and running on low boost as well . But to spend the money to give it a couple of pounds of boost i cannot see it .

Yes Stock trans. Nitrous.. So far no problems with trans.. But for how long? We will soon find out. Car is in a shop for a retune ( custome Renntech) And new designed headers. All new header format, These Headers are sure to pave the way we all look at long tube headers. I call them

Yea SLK55 is 11.0:1 c/r and they run an advertised 7PSI on pump gas with the Kleemann sc added. My c/r is 10.5:1 and I just upped the boost to almost 10PSI *fingers crossed* A 63 with a blower would be insane, maybe a thicker headgasket to drop compression a bit

hey man, im down in SD too, i have an E63 w211. you think the headers aren't that much different than mine? im down to get together and see what they can come up wiht on our 63's
