Dyno in "M" mode?
Probably a dumb question, but can anyone see an advantage, in terms of registered HP and TQ, in doing some dyno rums in M mode and shifting manually as opposed C mode? I'm not sure if running to higher RPM's would show a difference or if it is even a good idea. Thanks for the input.

I think you can still do dynos with just the ESP button off, but every dyno I did I just go into dyno mode...

Not sure if it's different with the CLS but here is vid on how to get her in dyno mode on an E55.
Try it and see what you come up with.
DO NOT DRIVE AROUND IN DYNO MODE. I make 1/4 mile runs at the track with it but that is about all.
You have no ESP, no anti lock....NOTHING. There is also a rumor that if the car picks up you driving in dyno mode too long, she shuts down. Just a rumor but who wants to find out.

"dyno mode" is diagnostics mode. It varies from car to car but at least in the c55 you put the key in the "on" position (the last one before you turn car on) and use the steering wheel buttons to flip to the odometer screen. Press the trip knob in 3 times quickly and you'll hear a beep. a voltage number and some other diagnostic stuff should show up on the screen. If you flip through the menu you'll see a setting to go into dyno-test mode or something like that. If you turn that on you'll turn off ABS, ESP, etc, etc. This way you can do full brake stand burn outs or go on the dyno without it cutting power.
