Just curious why everyone swaps out their OEM command unit with the Euro one to obtain the TV/DVD in motion feature.

Has anyone tried this? It's plug and play, and wouldnt it cost less to purchase this instead of a whole new euro command unit?

The US comands don't even have the DVD option, all that module does to my understanding is unlock DVD in motion, meaning your unit has DVD play back to begin with. If that's the case you'll need a euro comand anyways, I think it may work with the new 09+ comands which have DVD playback in the US.
