Single fin grill on CLS

I am considering getting the single fin grill on my cls, just like the one on the sl65 blk series. Does anyone here have the single fin grill on their cls? Also does it fit perfectly on the car? Pics?
Thanks

Hey Trouble Maker,

I have the single fin grill. It's awesome because it gives an updated look that stays in line with the factory look. The one i have is originally manufactured for the non-AMG CLS. By swapping this you will lose the distance settings on your cruise control. The center emblem actually serves a function and you will lose this. Also when you bolt on the piece you will not be able to screw down the center bolt as the distance sensor is in the way. This won't affect the solidity of the swap as you have two heavy duty screws on either end. Hope that helps.

dude...search this forum. we posted bunch of pictures with the single fins. I have tried all 3 fins...and am sticking to the 1 fin. In my opinion, with a 1 fin you need a nice front lip to add volume making the front looks fuller and aggressive otherwise, it looks pretty wimpy. The 1 fins fits perfect, cost is around $150. Here's one link with my car and another black one. But do a search in this forum that are few other cars with the 1 fin grille.

Is on Ebay. Order it from Jason. It take only 3 days to get here from the time you order. Here's his email jakuo5@gmail.com. Good guy...ordered the 3 fins and 1 fin grille from him. This is not an dealer item so you can not order from the dealer. It is an aftermarket fin.

It will only effect your cruise control if you have the distronic radar based option. from the looks of your current 3 bar grille, you don't. I paid 200 for my grille, it fit perfectly and some of the bits came in official mb packaging. The backround material, around the chrome single bar, is a black shiny mesh, it ties in nicely with the mesh in the lower airdam. I'm super happy with mine.

I have the distronic option, it is consealed behind the star emblem. does the single fin design conflict with the distronic design?

Hello All, I wanted to share my most resent modification with you. I purchased a single fin grill for Da Merc. I must say the quality is good and the price is right if you are a forum member that is. Contact Jason at e-mail address jakuo5@gmail.com for special forum pricing or visit the http://www.55tech.com/ if interested. Once purchased the packaged arrived within a few days.

Sorry Nebster. I realize I made the mistake of entering a new tread after it was done. I will try not to annoy the forum with further redundant treads.
